How we had closed our eyes in desperation

The milkmaids would forever be chasing him with their sticks
And though he would continuously trouble them and fight
His countenance would always fill them with divine delight
Indeed, when he was young, he was simple, honest
And yet he captured the heart of a girl from a single photo frame
When he returned, he would be different, not so plain anymore
But she would still turn crimson on hearing his name
She dances in ecstasy, calling out to her God
He is busy speeding down to Earth, the plane's wheels touching the ground
Her family watches enthralled, his family his nervous
But she is swaying to the tunes of his bewitching sound
He comes up the escalator, bag slung over his shoulder
Barely recognizable from his previous avatar in his branded jeans and shoes
He is confident, ready to take on all the humans
But she is not scared of what he is about to let loose
She reaches out for the butter, hanging precariously above
He's reaching out for the ambitions that he has grown to love
She has no shame in playing God, rather her mischief breaks all rules
He's serious, with a killer-instinct, but powerless against her tools
