And so wanna apologize for the extreme delay, but i was buried under study work and my final year research is a pain in the ass..
and here is the 4th part!
And once they saw the restaurant Khushi increased her pace and Arnav with a smile followed Khushi and Zaina. They were seated and the waiter came in to take the order.
Khushi : Zaina sweety what do u want to eat?
Arnav : Khushi first tell her what they have here! How will she know what to eat first?
Zaina: Ice cream!
Khushi : see Arnav she knows what she wants!
Arnav : But Khushi it is lunch
Khushi : So? We r in the zoo! She can eat ice cream and I can eat Jalebi! They have it here!
Khushi squealed in delight after seeing the desert menu before everything!
Arnav who was getting embarrassed asked the waiter to leave for a few minutes until they decided and calls him back.
The waiter went away smiling at the small family who was busy arguing on what to take for lunch.
Arnav: Khushi is that a way to behave in a restaurant?
Khushi, pouting : what did I do?
Arnav who decided he can't talk sense to a hungry Khushi just asked,
Arnav : Khushi so u want jalebi and Zaina u want ice cream? Is that it or do u want anything else? Cz I am having fried rice and tell if either of u want
Khushi: hmm'ok Arnav read the menu for us..
Arnav: Fried rice- chicken, fish, vegi options, and pizza'
Zaina: I want Pizza! Cheese!
Arnav : finally! Khushi even Zaina decided something, so please don't be a baby and decide something quickly..
Khushi who gave an offended look at Arnav haughtily said : Ok same for me!
Arnav: Khushi u don't like pizza, u never share from me when I have it
Khushi: but I want it!
Arnav: Ok ok
And calls the waiter and places the order.
Until the waiter comes Khushi shows different pictures of animals painted on the restaurant walls and they were chattering merrily while Arnav leaned back on his chair and simply listened to the incessant chatter.
After a while the waiter came and placed the orders and,
Zaina and Khushi started attacking the jalebi and the ice cream while Arnav started on the fried rice..
Zaina was dripping the ice cream within minutes and khushi quickly stopped eating her jalebi and stood up and carefully brought Zaina's chair closer to her and started feeding her while Arnav looked on fascinated cz Khushi never left her jalebi for anything! And especially not when she was as hungry as she was right now! And Arnav couldn't help but wonder that, this would be how Khushi would behave when their baby grew up and he continued to stare and didn't realize he had stopped eating until Khushi finished feeding the ice cream to Zaina and asked her to continue with the pizza and looked up to see him gazing at her with a slight smile on his face.
Khushi: kya hua Arnav? Why r u looking like that..
Arnav : I was thinking motherhood suits u Khushi..u looked perfect feeding Zaina
Khushi who was sharing the long seat with Arnav beamed at that and scooted closer to him and said,: Arnav u would be a perfect daddy too..
Arnav: u think?
Khushi : yup..i know u r a little short tempered and u don't have much patience..but how u got to Zaina just in time and after that kept me calm when Zaina almost fell in to the pool..u r the perfect husband and will be a perfect daddy too!
And with a quick peck in his cheek Khushi moved back to eating her jalebi's while Arnav picked up his spoon to eat his rice.
Within a minute or two Khushi who had finished her jalebi's and started on the cheese Pizza was looking from Zaina who was clearly relishing it to Arnav who was happily eating his rice and grimaced at the slice of Pizza she had just taken a mouthful from.
Arnav who had noticed the entire exchange at the corner of his eye suppressed his smirk and started counting in his mind, 'one, two, three' and right on cue,
Khushi: Arnavvv'
Arnav: hm'Khushi this rice is really tasty..but of course ur pizza must be really tasty too! I am so hungry..
And continued to take a few more mouthfuls..
Khushi who had started opening her mouth dropped her gaze and again picked up the slice of pizza and scowled at it as if it had done something to her..
Arnav couldn't help but smirk harder seeing how cute his wife was and then felt sorry seeing her bringing the slice of pizza back to her mouth and asked,
Arnav : Khushi do u want to share the pizza with me? U can have my rice if u like
Khushi with a huge smile agreed at once. And Arnav quickly picked a spoonful of rice and fed it to her and Khushi picked the pizza slice and held it out to Arnav and they continued to feed each other until the last of the first slice came and Arnav slowly let her bring it to his mouth and took in her fingers along with the slice, and Khushi who started for a second started blushing and tried to tug her hand back while Arnav kept his mouth firmly closed trapping her hand.
Khsuhi took a quick look and was relieved to see that Zaina was too busy with her meal to look up, but there were other people in the restaurant! And her husband doesn't know the place or the time to behave like this she thought exasperatedly.
Khushi: Arnavvv..pls'
Arnav just raised his eye brows without answering as that would mean letting her go..and continued to let his tongue tickle her fingers and Khushi who was blushing a brighter red than he had yet to see continued to plead until he let go and gave her a wide smirk..
And said, "that was payment for letting u eat my rice!"
Khushi indignantly asked : and u ate my pizza! So it was fair!
Arnav : jaan do u really think I didn't know u hated that Pizza and was eyeing my rice?
Khushi pouted at that and hit Arnav softly and said, :But still it was fair! you love pizza!
And with slight bickering they continued to feed each other and Arnav was just leaning down to place a kiss on Khushi when,
Zaina: aunty I finished!
Khushi who quickly what she was doing turned to her and asked: honey u want something else?
Zaina dimpled and asked: can I have another ice cream?
Arnav who was annoyed at the interruption just when he was going to kiss Khushi muttered to himself about the kid being just like Khushi and has a bottomless stomach! He quickly called the waiter and asked him to bring another ice cream sundae when he was informed it will take about 5 minutes due to a small problem and Arnav almost groaned as it meant the little brat would take all of Khushi's attention until it arrived.
He looked around and spotted a fish tank filled with colourful fish and quickly called out,
Arnav : Zaina look there, go and look at those fish until ur ice cream comes
Zaina : I am vegetarian!
Arnav stared for a second incredulously and snapped: I asked u to watch them! Not eat!
And Khushi who was laughing when she heard their exchange, quickly intervened knowing Arnav's impatience: sweety go and take a look, until we finish eating. I'll call u when ur ice cream arrives.
And as soon as Zaina was out of the seat Arnav pulled Khushi towards him and started Kissing her and Khushi also lost track of everything until they heard someone clearing their throat and they quickly sprang apart.
The waiter had come back with the ice cream and Khushi felt like asking the earth to open up and swallow her!
And Arnav simply asked the waiter to keep it and in his usual arrogant self pretended nothing happened while Khushi quickly scrambled out of her seat mumbling about calling Zaina and escaped from there.
And pretty soon they had all finished their lunch and were on their way back to see more animals when Zaina took hold of both their hands and while skipping ahead looked up their faces and quietly commented, "You know mummy and papa feed each other too just like u did!" crumpling all of Khushi's hopes that Zaina might not have noticed their behavior at the restaurant and shot Arnav a look to change the subject.
And Arnav just pointed at the closest animals which was at a mud pond for the hippopotamus enclosure and said : look Zaina there is a distant relation of ur Khushi aunty!
Both Khushi and Zaina turned around to look at where Arnav pointed at, to see.
