absolutely agree.but he did change his walk.yash's walk is differentMost needed post dear. I agree with u. MSK is guru's legendary character so everyone under its effect trying to find MSK in yash.
Bt one more truth is that guru cant change his physical features after all. He cant change his dreamy eyes, his sexy voice, his most beautiful hands, his tempting lips, his tiger walk and many more which cant b exactly explained...
I donot find any similarity in the two. . Koi unke aaspaas bhi nahi hai acting mein. I never thought that someday fingers wil b pointed out on his acting... Its just 1 week. There r lots of variations to come in yash..
@Bhakti2: I wish I could like your comment a 100 times over...seriously you just worded everything that was going on in my head as I read this post and all the comments on it!
GC is really such a wonderfully versatile actor, that every role he takes up, he completely blends into the flesh of his character, and makes it so very different from his previous ones. I have actually been catching up with Geet and watching PV at the same time, and I was sure this would cause he serious problems in differentiating between the two characters, but right from the start it was very, very easy to notice the differences. Starting from the looks, to the expressions, everything is different, and like so many others have already said, he can't exactly change the way his eyes or or the way he speaks, those qualities are unique to him and can't be changed just because he's playing a different character. But in every other aspect, Maan and Yash can't be more different than each other, and this is exactly why GC immediately too this role. He said it was different than anything he had ever done, and it would allow him to explore his talent in a completely different dimension, and we're already getting to see that from him.
As for all the backlash his new look is getting, I personally don't understand it because I think he looks really great. That change was necessary not just for the audience who are still obviously on their Geet high, but also for Gurmeet himself. He wanted this change, because like he said in one of the segments, that when he looks back at his career, he wants to be able to tell just from pictures that which character was which. Plus this very light stubble and shorter hair look suits his character, which has obviously suffered a whole different kind of pain and tragedy, and despite barely having any dialogues, Gurmeet is doing a fabulous job just through his expressions, and I for one can't wait to see how the character of Yash is further developed :)
