Shouldnt we Stop Comparing, Benchmkg PV with GHSP?

I agree ...

GHSP was a classic and PV just started ..so making comparisons is sort of unfair for both the shows 😳

Aaj kal every show has some similarity or the other in scenes or dialogues or even the look of characters ..

Dargah ,eyelocks ,rain sequences r common stuff

angry young man boy and a talkative girl are common traits ...

So as long as story is different ,I dont think two shows should b compared ..only if one is lifting a whole scene as it is from another show ,then at times comparison is common human nature 😆 but PV and GHSP r different like chalk and cheese storywise ..so the comparison dont make sense ..😆

There are MAJOR differences in both the shows, GHSP was mainly a girl struggle converted into fairytale romance while PV is completely different, Mature and Unconventional romance! Unlike GHSP there is no Angry young man or 18 year old talkative girl here...Both the characters are calm, cool and settled and much more matured! GHSP was far far far away from KIDZ...Even the pregency lasted for almost year 😆 and here they both have kidz and its not their first love unlike in the former show! How can someone even compare?

Scenes can be SAME coz no doubts, Dargah, Rains and all this things are VERY COMMON! In each show there must be RAIN! 😉 One dance seq and good music! Come on...Are those guyz trying to find COMPLETE UNIQUE piece? If YES then I am done explaining...Coz I can't! 😆 I can't see ANY DAMN similarities in both of these shows at all EXCEPT My hubby GC! 😳

If GHSP is east and PV is west! Only those can compare who have no braincells working in any part of their BRAINS! 😆

I think those who are comparing this show with GC previous one GHSP are those who are STILL IN SHOCK that its OVER! Really very much OVER! 😆

I so agree!

If people are comparing and then they want something similar to GHSP. If you are a true fan of GHSP then there is no comparison as you want a new show which has similar scenes to GHSP. And no one can compare GHSP with any show. That was a totally different one!

Let the show get started and let us see some good romantic scenes between arti and yash. I have full faith that it will rock too. coz this same thing Gurmeet told and i have full faith in him.

Completely agree with you..

I loved Maan in Geet, and there might be some similar traits in both Maan and Yash, such as their serious nature (both have many responsibilities so it's expected) but other than that i think we should appreciate both of them and not say one is better than the other. Obviously people will have a favourite, but Punar Vivah has only just started so we should give it time.. I never watched or really liked Geet until Gurmeet's entry, and i'm sure many will agree, so i think we should all give Punar Vivah time. Geet will always be special but who says Punar Vivah won't become special to us too?? I already love it.. 😊

As for people saying it's copying scenes from geet, i think thats silly.. I think just about every serial on indian tv has a durgah scene in the first few shows. And as for the towel scene it's happened in other shows as well as geet, it's happened in kdmhmd, tere liye, sangini, and other shows that i have watched.. So i don't think it's fair to say it's being copied from geet.. It's just an easy way to show romance and chemistry...

agree with you completely... GHSP is something that will be cherished forever but we should see PV as separate show and give it our recognition...as far as i am concerned i like this new show already...

Lovely post...
I guess its very natural to compare the shows initially. It will take some time for viewers to start connecting with the characters... its might be a few weeks and then the comparisons will die down... slowly.😃
It is very important to be patient while the characters in PV are being established! its like they are setting up the stage now and once the wedding happens, the real story begins.

If the are showing romance here... offcourse which we want to see we should welcome it.

U r so right! We should not compare PV to GHSP. I loved GHSP and it's an iconic show now. It will stay with me forever.

But this new show is so different. The way GC is playing Yash, i do not see any resemblance to Maan at all. I love the way Kartika is playing Arti.

I swear the Dargah scenes have been seen in so many shows and movies. They had to meet somewhere so i am glad they chose such a pure place for their meeting. I loved the back ground score of Kun Fayakun playing.

loved the hint of their 2nd meeting in such a spiritual place.

I am so glad i gave this show a chance and let go of my prejudice toward the show.

Now i am waiting for my Darling Drashti next venture.

Folks give this show a chance, you don't know what u will be missing.
