Hmm...so, was I hoping for a more meaty episode? Yes. Was I disappointed by the SwaRon scene? Sort of. But do I want to give them the benefit of doubt? I guess I do. 😊
I've always said how much I love the way D3 is written and executed, and yes, I know how somewhere down the line episodes that make me feel all weird inside come along outta nowhere. It's quite understandable once in a while, storylines take time to develop, I suppose. Just that when such episodes come before weekends when we're staring at three D3-less days, I think they're a degree more dissatisfying than they would have been otherwise.
So yes, they tried to lighten up the otherwise super-tense mood with Jab Dil Hi Toot Gaya...special appreciation to Vinti here, I thought she was hilarious. But unfortunately for me, it couldn't quite balance the overwhelming weight of a depressed Rey, a Nil-Vicky on an Anti-Swayam abhiyaan, a SwaRon scene that basically repeated the Sharon-accusing-Swayam-not-defending-but-putting-her-in-her-place-nevertheless cycle, and a Sharon who declares she'll never dance on stage again...yeah. That last one hit HARD.
I don't actually have much to say except that I hope this India Fest portion gives us all something to smile about. Rey's destined for sadness for now, unfortunately, but still...I hope he'll get the support he needs, that Nil-Vicky will come to their senses, and that Sharon will find her way back to where she belongs on stage. 😳
