Thanks JR..

Yes the same way.. I have seen Geet many times. Each episode has been engraved in my memory and when Gurmeet's name comes Maan comes to my mind..
But at the same time I truly admire his talents and his ability to make a fictional character almost real that people recognised him as a character.
I think that is a great tribute to an actor...
But I would definitely say that only in one episode Yash has started to make place in my heart.. Thanks to those lots of promos and Gurmeet's interviews where he explains his transition from Maan to Yash and what preparation he had to do.
And as this is on Zee TV there would be totally new viewers who have no connection with his earlier shows and they would love him as Yash as Gurmeet is a hard working man and gives more then 100% in his work..
He always says when you work hard and give your all you get success and people sure will like what you do..
So personally though I love and adore Maan very much but I am all set to welcome one more aspect of Gurmeet as Yash...
as I am sure I will love and adore Yash as much as he has much more layers than all his previous characters..

Yes dear, you're absolutely right.😊

Fans of every one of GC's shows have gone through this withdrawal phase, and yet they have learned to accept his new shows also. I remember that I cried a bucket of tears when Ramayan ended, and everyone in the Ramayan forum was so skeptical about whether they could ever accept Gurmeet in a fictional role after playing God, and we all had so many marathons where we would view our favorite scenes from Ramayan many times, while we're eating, doing chores, exercising, etc.😆 Of course, it also helped that the DVDs were released soon after so we all got to watch the show anytime we wanted much before NDTV Imagine uploaded the HQ episodes to youtube.

But...many Ramayan fans of GC accepted him in GHSP when it aired and came to love him as Maan. I did watch the show in the beginning and loved it, especially the whole Brij drama when Maan saved Geet from him, I found it very romantic and sweet.

I think it's a very smart move on Gurmeet's part to accept new roles quickly before he's typecast in his previous ones. He took on PPAW and GHSP soon after Ramayan ended so that he's not typecast as Ram like other unfortunate mytho actors were in the 90s, and not able to find work as a result, and now after Geet has ended, he's accepted PV so that he's not typecast as Maan.

I think he will do really well as Yash because Zee TV, like you said, has different viewers from Star One and NDTV Imagine...he'll gain new fans and become known as Yash in the television industry just like he did as Ram and Maan.😊

It will take some time but eventually we will get used to Yash. and I have some communities where guys get married at early age like 23, 24. So if we assume the eldest daughter is 5 or 6, Yash must be some 29, 30.

So bottom line is people..
We are entitled to love him as we wish whether for some he is as Ram and for many he is as Maan..
But we all do love him equally and we will support him in any of his adventure and his career..
It is his performance we love and his ability to put life in to a fictional character so let's love him unconditionallly and give him our full support by welcoming Yash and loving him as much..
Keep rocking people..

i guess for people who have been really attached to maan, it would be difficult to make the transition to yash... after all it's been only 2 months since geet ended... but i'm sure with more episodes the change would be easier to accept..

I like GC a lot and will do great in the show. Keep in mind that this is a short lived career so he has to make the most of it. I would say he made a wise decision by taking up this role.
Acting is a uncertain, short lived and very competitive career. There are lots of good actors have come and vanished in a thin air trying to be selective or may be looking for something more. It is a risky business so i think take what ever comes your way may be just playing safe. I am glad to see him back on the screen.

Yes It would be hard for many people but once we keep on seeing him as Yash he will grow on us and we will love him as yash..
Personally For me I have loved and adored him as Maan and infact I met him twice as Maan.. so the character of Maan is very close to my heart. I have watched Maan over and over again even on my way to work I watch him as Maan on my IPOD. So Maan has a permanent place in my heart I just love him..
At the same time I know Gurmeet is an actor and he has to move on in his career as that is his livelihood and so now that he is working on another character and working hard to make his success how can I stay back and not cheer him in his another adveture???
So as Maan is unique and no one can take it's place the same way Yash would be unique and he will make his special place in people's heart..
It does not mean that he will replace Maan in my heart.. Maan will stay forever.. Yash will be added.. :)))

it is difficult to get over something which you truly liked/loved...ok, i think i am not a diehard maaneetian...sorry..but for me, at the end of the day, he is gurmeet choudhay..not lord raam, not maan & not even yash...he is simply GC...& honestly saing, though i started liking yash but when PV will end i will get over yash too...i am not actually very emotionally attached to shows/celebrities...well, take your time..hope, you will like yash too...

Hey dearies...

First of all nice post to expess ur inner turmoil to accept Mann as Yash...
Truely speaking i m die hard fan of Mann as a role model...but at the same time i know it was performed by GC...
He can perform evry character with covviction as he is a wonderful actor...
Any change takes time to adapt...
So we all r taking our time to accept him as yash...I m sure he is going to leave his imprints deeper as Yash also...because at the end of the dy Gurmeet is reality n he is a performer...
It is just begining of his professional life...he has a long way to go
All the bet Gurmeet
