Part 5:

Arnav arrives at a secret location to meet up with the detective. Detective gives his report to Arnav.

"I know that Shyam is related to you, but I am sorry to say he has a very bad track record."

Arnav is not surprised, he expected this.

"His life as a child was alright, as his father was your father's accountant. He went to college in Delhi, but left midway because he wanted to earn big money. And so he started gambling which satisfied him but only for a while. Then he started cheating people and earning fraud money. Still unsatisfied he tricked your family and got married to your sister.

And you will be shocked to know that he does not work at all but just keeps tricking your sister for money. In fact he is not even a lawyer!! He has also been to jail once for harassing a girl. Here is the written report with more details."

"Oh I forgot to add one thing. Recently he was staying at a place on rent. He tricked the owners into marrying their daughter. But luckily the girl got things figured out and broke the engagement."

Arnav could not believe his ears!! Things start coming back to him mind. What omg, it was the same Shyam ji, that Khushi was engaged to!!! So Khushi was tricked into this!!

"Do you know the name of the girl?" Shocked Arnav questions.

"Yeah her name is Khushi Kumari Gupta." The detective replies.

OMG, arnav who was standing kneels down on the floor with his hand over his forehead. What did I do? Khushi was innocent…khushi is innocent. The Gupta family knew everything but they didn't say a word only to save his D's happiness. Khushi did all this for his D!! All the time Khushi was bearing his atrocities, knowing very well that she is innocent and can tell my D everything about Shyam.

Arnav needed a dragger to go through his heart at this moment. He no longer wanted to live with this guilt. He wanted to jump off a cliff or be run down by a truck. How will he face Khushi, his Khushi, whom he loved so much but failed to fulfill the duties of a lover.

Thinking this he starts walking down the road. After a couple of minutes he reaches a temple. Standing down on the stairs he looks up at the temple - feeling as hell. And then he climbs up the stairs.

The song playing in the background – Gir gaya from Murder 2

He stands there before the deities and asks for forgiveness.

"Chote, tum yahan (u here)? Questions Anjili.

Arnav looks backs and finds his D standing right beside him. He has tears in his eyes and Anjili is shocked to see him. He looked like hell.

Cupping his face and with tears in her eyes, "Chote, kya hua? Please tell me what happened? Please say something!"

Arnav sees everyone in the temple. Except Khushi.

He questions, " D, where is Khushi?"

"Oh she was not feeling well so she is at home." Anjili replies.

And Arnav looks around one more time, only to find Shyam missing in the crowd.

"Jijaji?"

"He is at work. He left early in the morning." Says Anjili

Arnav gets a very bad feeling in his heart. Something is not right – his heart tells him. Khushi is not alright. He knew it!! OMG is she in some sort of danger? No no no!!

And he runs to his suv, leaving the other family members baffled at the temple.

His hands are shaking and he is finding it hard to drive. He is feeling uneasy at his stomach. He wants to speed up but his legs are not with him. All sorts of hurting images are playing in his mind but he does not want to think about them. And then he is struck in traffic – morning rush hours. He is cursing and suddenly he thinks about calling Khushi, which he didn't think about earlier since his mind was preoccupied. He calls at home– ring, ring, ring, ring, ring….no one picks up. He is not able to take it anymore. Why isn't she picking up??? Maybe she is in shower or is busy in something else. He tries again and is dying for Khushi to pick up but again there is no response. He also tries her cell only to find it switched off. He is sweating hard; the suv ac has no affect on him.

Trying again and again, he breaks down and says to himself, "Khushi, please pick up the phone, please Khushi please. Oh god! Please don't let anything happen to my Khushi."

Finally he reaches home and runs inside. There is a strange silence in the house.

"Khushi!! Khushi!!" he shouts.

He runs towards their bedroom. The distance to his bedroom seems like eternity. Now he knows that Khushi is in danger!!

He reaches the door, which is locked!! He bangs on the door, "Khushi!! Khushi!!! Open the door Khushi!!"

There is no response at first but then he hears a glass breaking noise and he is on fire!! "Khushi!!!"

He bangs his body on the door and with all his strength successes in opening it. The room is a mess. Everything is scattered around the room. All the things are on the floor and OMG, he sees Khushi's saree on the floor.

"Khushi!!!"

"Arnav ji!!" Khushi screams.

And he sees Khushi at the poolside, struggling and trying to get Shyam off her who is on top of her and forcing her!! His hands are all over Khushi who is in her blouse and skirt (the one you wear underneath the saree). She has tears and fear in her eyes. Shyam is holding both of Khushi's hand on top of her head with his one hand, and his other hand is just about to rip off Khushi's blouse when Arnav gets hold of him and gets him off Khushi. Shyam is shocked to see Arnav home and is unprepared to fight back when Arnav pushes him onto the glass walls around the poolside. Shyam bangs his head on the glass which breaks and he falls down. There is blood everywhere around Shyam.

"Khushi , khushi are you alright? Khushi I am so sorry Khushi!!"

He picks her up by placing a hand around her back and hugs her covering her bare body with his body. And keeps saying khushi over and over again.

Khushi who is also in a shock says "Arnav ji," and starts crying.

"I am so sorry Khushi. Please forgive me. I am so sorry."

Both are crying and holding each other so close and so tightly that no one can separate them.

And suddenly everyone comes in. The whole family had left the temple after Arnav; after they saw him running to his suv without giving any explanation. It does not take them long to understand what is happening. Khushi and Arnav are holding each other and Khushi's clothes are torn at parts. And there is Shyam lying on the floor with blood around him.

Sorry for the short update. I will try to write more next time and thanks for the comments guys!! They mean a lot to me.
