In an e-mail sent out today, Amazon.co.uk announced a substantial price reduction on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. They've lowered their price from 9.99 ($18.22; 41% off) to 8.99 ($16.39; 47% off) to compete with Woolworths and Asda. Also, they are now guaranteeing delivery on July 16th to all UK customers, an ambitious promise matched only by their American and Canadian counterparts.
The Daily Mail reports that Amazon.co.uk has sold 200,000 copies of the book to date. Amazon.com's Half-Blood Prince meter has already risen to 637,057 copies.
