Disclaimer: This is not a post to bash any character in the least, much less any actor. My sole purpose is raising a debate over the self contradiction depicted in today's episode. Please take it in the stride of that intention alone.

---

I personally thought Kriya's character was tarnished with hypocrisy today.

On the one hand she was offended by Rey's notice - particularly the word 'Dazzlers' of course - to the extent that she could see nothing but red and green. She was bent upon pinning down the notice as an intentional demeaning gesture from the dazzlers, particularly Rey. And like she told him in their talk later, it wasn't so much the decision to have separate rehearsals that offended her, but the fact that he had not considered discussing it with her once.

So far, so good. Kriya has a point, and that she's hurt is inevitable, because the whole division of groups has always been a sore point.

But let's move on to Swayam and Kriya. In the history of D3 friendships, she probably hurled the most hateful remark at him, by declaring what she did. Tumhe rejections se farq ni padta, kyuki tumhe unki aadat hogayi hai.

She was back in the next scene to seek out Swayam and offer a genuinely intended apology, insisting she had never meant what she had said. That she had been unfair, that she had spoken out of line, and most importantly cast on him a temper that was not his to fairly bear.

If I look at the two situations independent of each other, they would both be credible and forgivable situations. But when I put them together - because the common link between them is Kriya - it becomes impossible to not notice the double standards in her modus operandi - as far as this offend and forgive stake goes.

So she had not meant Swayam any harm, she had not, and never could have wished to hurt him. But in her preoccupied and hurt temper had managed to say something very very hurtful. Something, which when you think of it, is quite truly spoken too. Swayam has been reduced to this guy who can be viewed as rejected by habit now - thanks to Sharon. But this is not about SwaRon here. Point is, its easy to believe Kriya would never want to hurt Swayam by saying something like that - but the fact that she said it, in a foul mood - is indicative of how unknown to her even if, the thought has pervasively been a part of her subconscious. Being angry, like being drunk - can make us say things we don't want to say, but not things we have never thought!

Still - given her intention had never been to hurt Swayam - he forgives her, and rightly so, for the kind of person he is, he rarely holds grudges.

Now turn to the other side of this. Kriya is in Swayam's boots. Rey is in Kriya's boots. He has - as Swayam aptly pointed out - unintentionally hurt her in a way he neither foresaw, and certainly did not intend. She declares he has made her feel small. He tries to prove it was not how he wanted it, and certainly not something he realized he was going to do - that is, hurt her self respect. But Kriya finds it unforgivable?

My question is, why is Rey's unintentional mistake, any different from Kriya's own offense against Swayam? If Kriya cannot mean Swayam harm, can Rey mean Kriya any? The reason Swayam can forgive Kriya is, because he believes that about her. So does Kriya not believe the same way about Rey? Why is she with him in the first place then? If one even compared Kriya's offense versus Rey's, Kriya's is actually worse, because what she said was neither ' a team decision' and like I said, has to be a thought somewhere in her subconscious, and Swayam could hold that against her. Forgive perhaps, but not forget. Rey on the other hand has not being individually offensive against her, and the whole Dazzler issue is like he said a group thing.

For some reason I feel like the CVs are trying to create an unnecessary rift between Kriyaansh. Like they just need to get some angst between them - without caring about how it happens! First by trying the KriYam angle, and now this. Why is a mis-communication even needed?! The fans certainly don't want it. And Kriya's character is going totally offline in the process. She is becoming this odd kind of Sharon alter ego here, with her double standards, and it's just, just not her, if the initial characterization is anything to go by.

So yeh - I'm really confused why the CVs want Kriyaansh to have misunderstandings so bad, and at what cost! Meanwhile - Kriya's Swayam offense was just wrong. I'm still trying to believe she said that to him. She, of all the rejected people in St.Louis, who found him among her very first accepting friends. Just so out of character for someone like her - and such a blow to whatever little respect I've had for the majorly lopsided KriYam friendship.

CVs - I think there's been enough damage done to this female protagonist. Leave being the anti-hero lead to Sharon please. Kriya needs to get back her two good shoes.

---

Sorry this got sooo long. I get carried away, sigh! AGAIN - NO BASHING PLEASE. Simply debating a characterization flaw that was glaring at me today. No offense intended to any fan group.

xx

okay i haven't read the entire post so till then RES EDIT

sharon and rey hall scene was so similar to this kriyam scene
that tym everyone liked rey ka sharon ka manana na
balki sharon ki galti thi
this is double standard
not what kria did

A true lover might betray but a true frnd never betrays
kria is a lady who gets hyper in a nanosecond
and jumps to conclusions when it comes to people whom she trusts and loves

and when she repents her deed..she never feels that saying sorry might make her look foolish..coz she is a really down-to-earth person with not even a pea-sized attitude in her

she might be a dumb gal for some...coz she is ready to do anything for the person she loves and doesn't even think for a sec before doing that
but that is the pureness of her heart which makes her do that

i dunno... How swayam can be mr social service baba...! Me uske jagah hoti toh i wouldn't have been able to forgive sum1 whose been my best friend and hurts me dis badly so easily... Human nature u see... But this was really out of character for kria... If she wants swayam to forgive her for her harsh words... Y cant she forgive rey...!! Whose mistake was unintensional...!!!
I mean it was her only who had said ki trust is the most imp thing in a relationship... Den y cant she trust rey when she loves him...

I sometimes really fail to understand D3 girls... Not only kria but even sharon... I simply fail to understand them or is it cv's who are confusing us about their behaviour...!!!

there is big difference between swayam and rey and in the mistakes
first swayam knows very well under what circumstances kria has yelled on him so he can probably understand her very well and its easy for him to let it go but kria dint know the reason for which rey has done all this to her so its very difficult for her to let it go
secondly swayam and kria are friends and kra and rey are more than friend it brings a lot of difference. kria has full right to know about every decision of rey so i dont think two situations can be linked in any way
