Why Persue Love?

Why pursue relationships?<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> I'm posting this simply to see different personal perspectives NOT religious observance...<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Last night I was thinking, as I usually do, and started to wonder about the actual purpose of romantic relationships- Obviously you are interstice in them, probably physically attracted to them and want to get to know them... What is the core meaning or basis of Love?<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> As youth, we are still maturing and whether we want to admit it or not, we don't know everything now that we will in several years and we haven't gained crucial experiences yet. You don't know if you ever will because the future is impossible to predict. But why continue it, if for example, it would be extremely hard for it to work the following year or even you don't know what you want out of it. Is there then a point to try to continue? Anything can be accomplished through love (or so I'm told) but what if you don't feel that unending, 100% sure of it love? <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> There's a lie that we all search for our whole life. It's a lie called love. Love is a lie because of all the emotions it takes you through. For love makes you cry/laugh, love makes you sad/happy. Love sends you on such a rollercoaster ride love make you lose your mind. Now, anything that sends you through all that can't true can it? Love is a lie or is the truth I am just too afraid to love.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Time and time again I have gone down this thought process… and then I get stumped. I have no perfect answer, I have no solution at all, I don't know what to do or what to say, the only thing I know is that I have a lot of thoughts floating around and now I'm curious to hear the everyone else's.. Mainly because no one likes to be alone ....The journey of life is much sweeter if you have a special someone to share it with..

Hmm i guess coz everyone needs a companion on the journey of life 😛

We all have a template for the ideal partner(to fall in love with) buried somewhere in our subconscious. I went through similiar experience when I was in my Teens. I didn't understand why people fall in love or what's the point of chasing something that you are not sure off...
You can't say that just because you afraid of consequences of love, you would stop following it. Same principal can be applied to choosing a career or making other decisions in your life. No one knows what lies ahead..It's a risk you take. If you are in love with someone now, doesn't guarantee a life long warranty.
Love is a wonderful experience if you are lucky enough to have it. I have even seen in arranged marriages, people fall in love. I know it's hard for teens to see arrange marriage in this light....but I have seen so many couples (by arranged marriage) who are so romantic together.
Love is weird to someone who has not experienced it yet. Especially I think young people are prone to getting infatuated with any walking-talking decent looking opposite gender. Love to many young people is the way they show in Movies. Usually, we fall in love with a person that we find attractive and appropriate for us, but also someone who demonstrates that they are attracted to us. This creates a situation where a great opportunity is open to us for self-expansion. The fact that they are attracted to us offers a significant opportunity.
Love does not mean mere hanging out, watching movies, gossping, or kissing. It's scary how many people pick partners just on looks. If all of your friends approve only then you go FWD with a relationship.
You know you are with a right person and in love when
1 someone makes you feel comfortable.
2 you don't need to justify his/her behavior
example, if he/she gets mad or has temper problem, you find reasons or think you can change him/her.
3 There are no conditions or limits
4 you don't feel like you need to hide anything from them
5 Respects and gets along with your family
6 you respect his/her life style.
7 when you close your eyes, you can't imagine to be with any one else.
8 You place their needs before your needs....they do the same for you.

Now I understand what love is... When I am apart from my husband, we each feel the lack of the other half 😭 We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which the first has been lost.

It's very difficult to explain "LOVE", four letters yet there is so much in those four letters. We human beings always wish to be loved by others, and the kind of love you are talking about, it's something we are born with. And in this case we need to reciprocate. I wonder how many pursue in a poetic manner, since life is busy and need to take care of lot of stuff at the same time. If we can win each others hearts with trust, build the bond with respect for each other, it can be a beautiful relationship. Actually it's an art, which we need to re-construct every moment with each others help.

I don't know if it's a lie or deception, but being in love feels good, that too someone you love. It knows no logic, worst part is you fall in love before you can judge a person. And even if we are late in judging a person, we wish to remain blind in love. Love is the happpiness which sometimes leaves you in pain. If you are lucky, it can make your life wonderful, if not life can be tormented. "Wise men say only fools rush in .........." Still we tread in that path again and again, inspite of all the warnings and advices.

Lastly, if one fails in a relationship or is deserted by someone - one should go on in life. Should not let others take undue advantage of one's weaknesses, the other person never deserved shedding your tears. Though life is not a fairy-tale for everyone, still it is something that's worth taking the risk.

😕, Why?

In life, everyone needs someone to depend on. Someone they can share themselves with...LOVE are just 4 words that simply come out, but hell of hard to explain them

This a dialogue form the Richard Gere- Jennifer Lopez movie Shall We Dance-- Susan Sarandon who plays Richard Gere's wife says this and I have always found that it pretty much summed up everything about love and marriage....

"We need a witness to our lives. There's a billion people on the planet... I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you're promising to care about everything--the good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things--all of it, all the time, every day. You're saying, 'Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness.'"
