I looovvveee this scene.I mean I do enjoy all GK scenes but april-june were kind of special.The Gk scenes during these months had so much depth to them.I can watch them over and over again.I guess I love the angst,the push-pull chemistry they had going.We can see that so clearly in this scene😳
The scene starts off with Kesar coming onto the roof top with sure,confident steps but as soon as he sees Gulaal,he stops.The awkwardness of the previous day is still lingering in the air. Gulaal looks at him unsure for a second and then she smiles(ah I love that smile somehow it was so soothing yet there was something mysterious about it.How could Kesar have resisted that smile.It just drew him in)Kesar smiles back and comes closer.once again it becomes clear to us that Kesar's outburst has in someway changed the dynamic between them.The easy camaraderie which they had enjoyed is temporaririly lost na.but Kesar being Kesar quickly gets over his nervousness and comes to the point.The expression on Gullu's face when he takes out the chunar makes me laugh every single time😆oh Talli why did you have to show this chunar to Gulaal?Anyways Kesar is thoroughly confused by her lukewarm response(his kyun acha nahi laga is kind of cute na- cause he is very sure that his Gulaal will like his gift yet he needs to see that happiness on her face-just like an innocent bacha)😳
Gulaal mentioning Talli just brings back that possessive Kesar back na.He loses all traces of nervousness and suddenly he gets this irritated look on his face that says "why do have to bring in Talli now?"Gulaal was really blind and deaf na,I mean he clearly states that he doesn't care about Talli-her likes and dislikes.He is just concerned about her.I think she was aware but did not want to acknowledge the fact that maybe Kesar had feelings for her and not Talli.because acknowledging it would mean her whole world turning upside down and then what will happen to the promises that she made to Talli,to Motaba and the entire family.
I loved how Gulaal runs after him and tries to placate him by saying "main yeh kaise phenk sakti hoon.yeh tu mere liye laaya hai na"That was so honest.I am sure Kesar must have enjoyed listening to that but then he had to keep up that angry young man image na-that little look that he throws when Gullu says don't be angry I will keep this with me-It is so funny and who said he is not a nautanki.both of them are world class dramebaaz and only the other can jhelofy their tantrums baba😆
come on Gulaal,I know you are in denial land but how can you not see that marrying Talli off to Kesar is not the brightest of ideas so please stop with the matchmaking.No wonder Kesar got so angry.Remember his dialogue from the jeep when they are coming back from her maayka "aakhir tum log kya chaahthe ho mujhse".That is perfect here.
