Apologies for the late update. I had a research paper to write ðŸ¤¢. There are definitely going to be errors. Hopefully I'll catch them all by tomorrow.

The man landed painfully but Indu did not stop there. He pulled his left chappal off his foot and slapped it on top off the man's head with a resounding thud.

"Tu hai pura ka pura jahil Janwar, tu kisi janum main zuroor ek maindak ho ga. Makhiyaan hi khaaney key laaik hai," Indu planted a few more slaps on his head with his chappal while the man groaned in pain as he crouched on the ground holding his head. One corner of the broken chair had hit him on the forehead.

"In key sar sey khoon nikal raha hai," Saanchi spoke up forgetting all her plans of escape. She knew she was not out of danger but she could not squash her need to help others in trouble. Indu looked up at her as if she had started speaking another language.

"Aap bahuat hi dif-ferent type ki- ki female student hain," Indu spoke haltingly, stumbling over the words because for some odd reason his tongue was not under his control. He let his chappal fall on the floor and along with it his random bout of anger washed away, "Aap ko itna tang kiya aur aap ko phir bhi in ki chinta hai."

"Bhaiyya ji, Bhaiyya ji," A green T-shirt wearing man raced in and stopped mid sentence. His eyes were like round ladoos due to surprise.

"Shruh honey se pheley hum tuhrey zabaan ki baat hi cheen letay hain. Yeh merey saath woh hain jinhon ney tum sab ko ullu banaya tha. Kisi larki key pair parwaya tha. Aur kuch?" Indu crossed his arms and grinned lazily as two more men barged in equally wide eyed.

"B-B," The man in the front tried to speak.

"Bakri ki taran Ba ba karna band karo aur idhr ao." Indu suddenly took hold of his ear with a smirk on his face, "Kis ki anumati sey aap ney is college ki sushsheel kanyahon ko kisi kaali kotri main band kar key rakha hai."

"Lekin Bhaiyya ji ragging main toh aap ney khuli chooti di hai. Aap ney hi to kaha tha jab hum ney science department ki us laundiya-Aaah- ko uthwaya tha," The man howled in pain as Indu fiercely twisted his ear.

"Purani yaadon ko yaad karney ka bhi shubh muhurat hota hai. Ab waisey bhi hum badal gaye hain," He eyed Saanchi almost nervously. He knew she was listening to every word he was saying. Indu quickly opened the top most collar button feeling his ears go red.

"Lekin," The man protested.

"Ghonchu key ghonchu rahey ga," Indu tsked vigorously, "Ab in aath aath female students ka main acchar lagaon kya. Itni der ho gayi hai keh ab tak ghar waley police istation pauhanch gaye hoon gay. Humain aaj toh molestation key case phassa key choro gay."

"Kis saley ki himmat keh woh aap key upar koi molestatation ka case file karey. Aap toh SSP key sath uthtey baethtey hain," One of the silent guys said with pride, "Laundiyun ko band karna kya, molest bhi kar liya toh kuch nahin bigaar saktey."

"Chappal uttarun phir sey? Molest karnay ki baat chatra neta key saamney? Kya samjhen gay humaray sab students," Indu's eyes flitted towards Saanchi and he had to pull his gaze away from her not noticing the person he was holding by the shoulders and shaking had also noticed where his eyes were involuntarily turning too.

"Beta, dekh key baat kartey hain aur akal sey haath hilatey hain," Indu's temper once again decreased and he straightened his friend's shirt and patted him amiably.

"Theek hai," His red shirted friend was extremely confused and extremely aware at the same time. The weight of the knowledge in his head was too heavy for his shoulders, "Lekin un Larkiyun ka kya karna hai. Hum un ko aaj shor bhi den toh apharan ka case toh banta hai. Kya fayda aaj chorein ya kal."

"Lekin agar aap hum logon ko jaanein dein toh hum yeh ke bhi toh keh saktey hain ke humari suraksha keh liye aap neh humian us Kamrey main rakha," Saanchi added abruptly.

"Aap waqai main very very different, hain," Indu smiled a teeth baring grin, "Aap, humarey saath aaeyey. Hum baaqi larkiyun ko bhi nikaaltay hain."

"Bhaiyya aap chaley. Hum un kay purse wagaira latey hain."

"Indu Bhaiyya ko kya ho gya hai? Mujhey toh un ki sehat ki chinta ho rahi hai," The guy in the green shirt bit his fingernails, "Prabal key kutton neh mantar chanter to nahin parhwa diye."

"Kis kissam ki baaten kar rahey they aur tu kis baat peh haan pe haan kar raha tha," The third one gave the shirt one a harmless kick, "Purse ley kar ataye hain, Sala."

"Bhaiyya ji ko Loveria ho gaya hai, loveria," The red shirted man who had used his brains for the first time in his entire life said in an extremely dazed tone.

"Yeh kis machar ki beymaari hai!"

"Machar koi nai rey, yeh dil ki bemari hai. Indu Bhaiyya us larki koh aisey tukkar tukkar dekh rahey they. Mujhey toh ussi waqt shak ho gaya tha."

"Baap re, Yeh laudiya toh waaqai jaado garni nikli."

Indu could not help but fidget. He had never been so nervous in his entire life. The girl next to him was emitting so power and serenity that if she ordered him to start dancing he would have, immediately. Indu was ready to completely and utterly submit.

"No wonder yeh hum seh nahin move raha tha," Saanchi spoke with a small smile. Indu broke out of his daze to notice they were standing in front of a door which blocked by a pile of tables.

"Aap rehney dijiyeh," Indu instantaneously started lifting the bits and pieces of chairs and tables stacked against the door before Saanchi could move, "Aap keh haath itni kathinta ko bardasht karney key liye nahin baney."

"Humain Larki Samjh kar kamzoor na samjhiye, hum bhi yeh Vajan utha saktey hain," Saanchi said and even though he wanted to protest he couldn't say no to her. They spent the next few minutes harmoniously shifting the debris. The rusty door refused to budge so Indu kicked the door open.

He expected a bunch of huddled, scared girls weeping in one corner but instead was faced with seven girls all with arms raised and various furniture parts in their hands prepared to be used as weapons.

"It's okay. He's here to help us," Saanchi raced forward before they could strike and turn him into an Indu kabab.

"Hum Indu Singh aur hum is college key chatar neta hain," Indu spoke his oft repeated lines in a hurry, "Hum aap ko help karney aaye hain."

"He's right. We're free," Saanchi urged her friends who were still holding onto their weapons unbelieving that their situation had turned for the better.

"We were so scared," Saanchi's new curly haired friend dropped her table leg and sobbed. All the other girls including Saanchi turned to comfort her. Indu shifted in his position uncomfortably at their emotional outburst.

One of the other girls turned to Saanchi and whispered, "Do you have any idea who this man is? He basically controls this college. Are you sure we can trust him?"

"He said he would help if we keep them out of any police reports."

"Hah! He does not need our promises of help. All of us could go to the police and nobody would be willing to file our report much less do something about him,"

"Then why would he help?" Saanchi wondered.

The other men entered the room with lowered gazes. Indu ordered them to distribute the purses and valuables the men had taken from the girls.

Saanchi watched the other girls join forces regarding transportation. Her house was much further into the older parts of Banaras so taking a lift from them was going to be too much trouble thus she stood quiet in one corner. Two girls offered her a lift but Saanchi politely smiled them away.

"How are you getting home? Merey toh dad is sending the driver over. There isn't much trouble near where we live. What about you?" Another girl asked.

"Humara ghar toh Jawahar Nagar colony key paas hai. I have my cycle toh hum khud hi chaley jain gay..." Saanchi answered with a confident grin but Indu Singh who had been circling around her unconsciously paused and interrupted the conversation.

"Aap ko waahan ki samasya ka kuch pata bhi hai. Tyres jal rahey hain sarkon par," Indu pointed out with the worry that the headstrong girl might just go out on her own.

"Hum ya toh, Papa ko call kartey hain aur woh rickshaw'" She trailed away at the look on the man's face.

"Rickshoon key toh tyres jal rahey hain," Indu answered sheepishly.

"Humari family humarey barey main chinta toh bauhat kar rahey hoon gay," Saanchi looked around with worry. Her other friend nodded looking equally concerned.

"Hum Jaantey hain key aap humara wishwaas nahin karen gi lekin hum aap ko ghar suraksit chor den gay," Indu Singh offered impulsively knowingly he could not rest until she got home safely.
