I don't disagree that this is a public domain. However, it is also constantly mentioned how this is a friendly/family type forum, and THAT is the member base I appealed to, if someone here doesn't think they're part of that, then so be it. I insisted on nothing, and only offered a suggestion, which if viewed with a little less professionalism is not that big a deal. The difference between FF writers and show based writers/book authors is that the latter benefit from their work. FF writers do it for nothing, and often at the request of fellow members via PMs or in threads. So really... If then asking those same friends to maybe just exercise a little more courtesy after they enjoy your efforts for free turns into how they should or should not publish their work, then I really don't know what else to say to that.
This is a friendly DISCUSSION forum !! All topics are open for debate/discussion once it gets posted here .
There is a difference between suggesting and appealing don't you think ??
I disagree with the contention that the FF writers or for that matter any writer do not benefit.. They too benefit.. They get the satisfaction of writing , of seeing their posts being read, discussed , appreciated/criticized [ Only Monetary consideration cannot be considered as Benefit ] ...
I am not telling you how to publish your work But I am asking you not to tell the readers how they should react and behave ..we have IF guidelines for that ..
