I hate to be a pain in the butt... OK, no... I really don't mind being one. 😉 But, I was thinking about Fan Fictions today, and how those of us who write them put in a lot of time and effort towards it. We really and truly appreciate all the likes and comments we get, since it's always nice to know our stories are enjoyed by all. BUT, I do have a few suggestions for readers, if that's OK with everyone.

1. The story does not end at the beginning. It has a start, a middle, and an ending, all of which will be posted as often as the writer can manage. Plots need a lot of thought, and so do dialogues. Sometimes everything cannot be explained in a particular update, and sometimes the characters do something which you won't understand immediately. Please remember that, and try not to say things like "Oh no! Why did he do THAT? It's not right, make him change his mind." 😆

2. The story is written for everyone, not just you personally. So PLEASE don't predict out loud, because it could ruin the story for the readers, and leave the writer feeling frustrated if they wanted to hold back on a few details. Saying "OK, so she did this, which means now he will do that, and that and she will react like this." REALLY messes up the story line.

3. Very important!!! The story is not always going to go the way you want it to go. The characters are not always going to do what you want them to. Sometimes, they do things even the writer doesn't approve of personally, but if it's vital to the story, then it will be written in. Try not to panic when that happens. 😉

4. When someone is writing an FF, the characters at that time belong to them... Their thoughts, feelings, and actions are all in the hands of the writer for that short time. And, as difficult as it may be to accept that, it's the truth. So, leave your hang ups by the door when you enter a Fan Fiction update... You might not like how your beloved characters behave, the choices they make etc. But, the crazy writer wants them to do that, and that's what you'll get to read.

Really, I mean it... FF writers can be quite crazy when they're writing out stories, so try not to judge us too harshly. We already know we're a little insane. 🤣

No FF/OS/SS writer wants to disappoint readers, that's not why we write stories. We do it because we enjoy writing, and even more, enjoy sharing it with people/fellow fans of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the story as it's given to you... Comment so we know you read it, and are following the story. It's very encouraging when we know people are doing that, and it makes us want to write even more.

Muah!! Love you all... Now go read a Fan Fiction or three. 😃

So true, we can make you love the character and hate them when we want, and that's what fanfics are meant for, somthing different from the actual storyline.

Agreed to the points, 😆
It can also be possible for Shyam to kiss KKg and ASR to slap her, but never mind, we want a happy ending too🤣

The same dictum applies to Shows/serials too ...But when has that stopped us from predicting /speculating/Bashing/criticizing the characters [ instead of waiting for creator to unravel the plot further]...

May be ...it would work if one presents a finished work rather than updating as and when time permits...

I think that's a little unfair don't you? An enactment being compared to the written word? It doesn't even come close. Updates are what the readers seem to want. Should a writer of serials wait till all seven books they've planned, are written before they release them?

I do not think it is unfair...when one has posted an article on a public domain ..then it becomes open to speculation/creative thinking...

What is an enactment but a visual presentation of a written word ??..

Do update..but have ur finished draft with you and update it steadily ..but expecting the readers not to speculate aloud or wonder why such n such character acted so is quite unrealistic ..

But the writers of the serials do not expect the viewer's not to speculate , not to wonder, not voice their views..Do they??.. It is up to the writer to exercise his creative ingenuity and provide a sequence which is logical yet unexpected..
