The night for Khushi was miserable. She shifted in her bed, she turned left...she saw him and she turned right...she saw him. All she could see was him. She wanted to scream out loud to remove all her happiness, anxiety, and anger that was running through her body at same time. Happiness for him being here and breathing the same air with her. Anxiety for her meeting him again and soon marrying him. Anger for him being here so late. She already had spent too much of her time thinking about him, but her family didn't see that. They bombarded questions to her, about what she thought about him, yet they didn't wait for her to answer because they answered for her. She couldn't believe even Jiji and Papa didn't wait for her answer. But she also half knew why they didn't wait for her answer, cause my face expression already told the answer. She needed to get this frustration and the thoughts of him out of her way. She leaped out of her bed and quietly walked out of her room so nobody would wake up and headed toward her private kitchen in the basement. Her parents had finished the basement especially for and made a kitchen where she could make a mess and cook as many jalebis she wanted. And that's exactly she did. She didn't care if it was 2 a.m., she needed jalebis, of all days...she needed them today. She ate and cooked jalebis continuously for an hour, but for some unknown reason even the jalebis didn't take the thought of him out of her way. Her second option after jalebis is to sleep with Jiji in her room.

The Gupta family reached the Raizada guest house, while Khushi didn't understand how Arnav knew where she lived and how did Papa know where they lived. Were the Raizada family here for a while, did they meet each other before Arnav came to me. These questions kept running through her head. Her heart kept on telling her who cares? while it also said did they meet before? But they wouldn't do that. She shook her head slightly and stepped out of the car after Buaji. She wore a cream Anarkli suit. She wanted to look dress-able...yesterday she wore her worned Salwar Kameez suit that had markers all over it. So she wore her favorite Anarkli suit with cream pearl earing and she let her hair down...unlike yesterday where she had it a messy bun. (https://www.bargello.com/Cream+Dulce-343-Anarkali-107-6193.htm).
Khushi walked lastly into house. She smiled at sight se saw. Everybody was smiling and laughing. The sight she saw was what told that this wedding should happen. She knew if she fussed or objected to this wedding happening so fast, the twinkle everybody eye's would leave. She rather lose her twinkle than her loved ones. Jiji is will get married soon and come here too. Anjali, Nani, and Mami will always be here. If i mad at one person, they why make everybody else sad. Plus, Aunty (Arnav's mom) dreamt of this. Hey Devi Maiya, who knew getting married was a big thing to think about. She smiled and left her thoughts and went to hug everybody.
They all shifted to the living room to have tea and talk about their past adventures. While the elders talked, Anjali and Shyam told Khushi how they met and showed their wedding pictures. The other couple, Akash and Payal, were to busy sipping their chai constantly while sneaking looks at each other, when one looked the other blushed, and that happened constantly with one time Payal blushing and one time Akash blushing. It was then Khushi, realized when Anjali-Shyam and Akash-Payal were busy admiring each other, that he wasn't here. She looked around the house searching for him. Her heart playing two games with: 1) wanted to know where he was, and 2) happy he wasn't here. As if he knew she was looking for him, he walked downstairs. He was wearing a dark green shirt with a black vest over it.

He knew they had come. He didn't really want to go downstairs and hear the dull boring conversations that were going on. So he just sat in his study and continued working for the upcoming meeting he was having in the next day. He knew it was easy win, he'll easily capture the AK industries. Nobody can stop him.
After a long time, he looked at his watch and decided that their boring conversations should be over, so decided to go downstairs. As he descended downstairs he saw her looking around. She looked like an angel in the cream suit, he quickly looked away, before she would think he was checking her out.
He would never admit it, but she amazed him. He hated her for that. She always did the opposite he wanted. Nobody ever spoke or did against him, not even his clients have the courage to do something against him. But she did. He always told her dad what to do, where she should go and so on, but that Khushi Kumari Gupta played a game with him. She did the exact opposite. After he found out, that she sent a application Teachers program, he was done with her games. Marrying her fast was the only way to restraint her. Anyone who played with Arnav Singh Raizada always got a punishment.

She looked away quickly before he found that she was staring at him. Hey Devi Maiya, you already spent three/four hours with him yesterday and your still surprised he's here. Somebody smack me in the head. As reading Khushi's thoughts, Buaji smacks hers. " Eh Khushi, lets go. Arnav's nani said she already has everything set up for the wedding preparation." Why does Buaji has to be one to always smack me in the head. Ouch.
Khushi step into the family room where everybody already sat. Does everything have to be discussed in a specific room. She sat down to her Jiji, who was finally available to talk to.
"I was saying, Garima, that the engagement should happen here, at our house." Nani says to Garima, who was nodding her head along with what Nani was saying.
"Hello-hi, bye-bi, don't think anything will not be happening at your place. The sangeet and the wedding will happen at your place." Mami said to everybody and then whispered to Khushi and chuckled, "don't worry it'll just like it in the movies." Arnav exused himself, due to his phone ringing.
"How can i forget?!" says Anjali, "Khushi-ji you haven't seen the house. Akash why don't you show Khushi-ji and Payal-ji the house."
"Ji, Di." Akash nods and stands up with Khushi and Payal along with him.

It was actually Khushi who was taking the tour of the house, Akash and Payal were too busy taking a tour of each other. There were on the second floor of the house. She walked into a room that was different from all other rooms. It was painted maroon on all walls, except gray on a single wall that held pictures of tourist spots. The room was filled with light, its one wall was covered with glass windows. She went by the window and saw a small garden around a small pool. She automatically knew that the garden was connected with this room, 1) there was a staircase leading to the garden from the room, 2) the room was far away from other rooms, and 3) there already had another. She decided to check it out. She descended down the stairs and walked into the small, yet most beautiful garden she saw. It was all colorful with different types of plants, different colors of plants, and most of all the plants looked fresh and clean.
"What are you doing here?" said the voice behind her. She turned around and saw him sitting on white bamboo chair with his laptop on the table. He said to her without looking at her.
"Ah..." Khushi says.
"Can't you speak? When one usually asks a question, than there should always be an answer you know." Arnav smirks at Khushi.
"I know that! What's your problem if I'm here? Can't a person stand peacefully somewhere? I like this garden. It's not like its your property." Khushi says to him with her hands on her hip. Why does he always make me fume with anger?
"Well, it is my property. I brought this place and well that is my room up there. Or should I say our room" Arnav says to her. Khushi blushes and tries to look away from him. Thankfully, Arnav's phone beeps. Khushi looks around the garden and sees small white lilies in front of small ferns. She loves white lilies. There so fresh, clean, and full of innocence. Khushi is so engrossed in the lilies that doesn't see Arnav walking in front of her.
"Khushi..."Arnav says to Khushi, who screams at hearing a voice, and jumps in Arnav's arms. They stand there for awhile, listening to each others heart beats.
Though they tend to hate each other, this moment, all their anger at each other is gone. Both of them could only feel the warmth that they were giving to each other. Listening to each others breathes, as birds in side the garden chirped. Arnav held on to Khushi's waist , while she clutched his collars and buried her head in his chest. After a while Arnav broke the spell to speak, which he didn't want to, he whispered,"Dinner's ready, let's go." Khushi for some unknown reason didn't want to go, she wanted to stay here, buried in his chest, it felt like home to her. She took her head out and released his shirt collar from her grasp, and nodded at him. They walked quietly together to the dining room, listening to each others step.
Everybody else was already seated, which left a seat across from Arnav for Khushi. While everybody talked, Arnav and Khushi were lost in their own thoughts over what just happened few minutes ago.
"Khushi beti, we were discussing last night and also today with your family that maybe be should have the engagement this Friday. I think it would create the excitement for the wedding if do a engagement two weeks before the wedding." Nani told Khushi.
"Ji." Khushi said as she stole a glance at Arnav, who was also looking at her.
"Naandikishore, if we didn't meet last week than we would so much to do right now." Buaji said with everybody nodding their at her. Khushi, however, stopped. They met a week ago! Without me! But why, without me? Even Nani and Papa hid this from me. Khushi didn't feel like eating more, so politely excused herself. However, nobody really paid any attention everybody was to busy discussing the wedding. Khushi walked outside in the lawn.
It's just a wedding! The two people that are getting married, are going to spend their lives together are not even getting an opinion. This is not right, I'm going talk to Papa. He's the only one who's not really talking about the wedding, he just mumbles his answer. But seriously, whats the big deal of hiding this. What happened to no family secrets?! It wasn't like i was going to throw a fit. Khushi walked through garden maze by the bigger pool and shivered at the cold air.
"What are muttering to yourself." Arnav said behind Khushi. Khushi quickly turned around and saw him.
"Can't a person talk to themselves. Alone." Khushi said to him.
"So what if we didn't tell you that we were here. Forget it. It was in the past. Stop..." Arnav said.
"Then why can't you forget your past, Arnav Singh Raizada." Khushi said to him and left.
"KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA!" Arnav roared.
