To the Mods,
I write in relation to the Celebration Thread that Varun had opened yesterday.
It was on the first page earlier today, but is nowhere to be found at all, and most importantly, there is no message from the Mods to tell us why.
I understand the mods feel that this type of thread would lead to clutter on the forum.
If this is the case, a warning note could have been posted in the thread, so that the members would get the message. The celebration was not the only point of this thread, in fact it was the minor reason why this thread was opened.
The main reason as stated by Varun, was to return a sense of fun and togetherness to the forum, after the recent tension. Therefore, Varun (and all participating), could have been advised to cease the party aspect of the thread and just continue with the jokes and funny encounters aspect of the thread.
I believe the sudden and uninformed removal of the thread, to I don't know where, will just increase the tension in the forum.
To date, Prasad's thread for jokes has been allowed to stay on this forum on page one. This thread is very limited in scope, as the jokes are in Marathi, so only those members who understand Marathi can participate. Some members have asked that the jokes be written in Hindi and English, so all members can participate if they wish to. That has not happened as yet, but the thread is still allowed to function.
If Prasad can have his thread about jokes open, I strongly believe that Varun should be allowed to have his thread open as well. The party aspect can be dropped, but we should be able to have fun on this forum in the same way others are allowed to.
If Varun's thread is not allowed to return, with the understanding that there is to be no party aspect to it, that only jokes and funny encounters are allowed, then I think it is only fair that Prasad's thread about jokes be removed to the same location that Varun's thread has been moved to.
Thanking you in advance and hope to get and early response.
