I think we all got off on the wrong foot (after all this time...lol)...in no way are we trying to make light of what is happening on the forum...in no way are we saying that your views, concerns and/or opinions are invalid...what i am saying is that both parties...members and DT members need to work better because things are just out of hand at this point...gremlin made a very good point...the entire mess stirred up due to miscommunication...neither party is completely innocent...myself included...

so here's the solution...lets hope it works...

POST ANY GRIEVANCES/ ISSUES HERE!

let by gones be by gones and lets start over...if you have ANY issue with the FORUM or with the DT address them here...be clear and precise with the problems you are having...whether its the lack of response from us or other problems w/ other members...you wanted an open forum here you go...no holes barred! (of course keeping in mind forum rules)...if you feel i'm in the wrong and not handling a situation...call me out on it here...if you feel we are slacking somewhere...call us out on it here...start right now...tell us what it is we can do to make this forum drama free and fun again.

NOTE: This thread is ONLY for any concerns you may have with the Dev Team, this is not a place to come and talk/discuss about other members, other threads...its not a place to come and discuss what someone said in one thread or another. This is ONLY for issues with the Dev Team. It is NOT a thread to start battling between members. If you have concerns point them out directly LEAVE OTHER MEMBERS OUT of it. If we did something you didnt like or didnt understand post it here. However, do not drag other members, what they did/said into it. Keep it clean, short and to the point.
After recent conversations its clear that many members dont feel that the DT is fair and im sure that makes them less likely to seek us out for help. Here is just one other think you guys can do if you're not happy with the way we are dealing with threads/issues. As you may or may not know...Zee TV just got a CM (Channel Moderator) with this new round of promotions. Our new CM is -Ravjot- . Any issues you feel we cannot address or havent addressed appropriately, feel free to PM her. We are currently work with Ravjot to see what can be done to help the forum. Maybe a new persons point of view and fresh mind can help us all reach a common ground.

Recently there were some issues about one "group" having rights for posting a specific thread to discuss their views and another "group" not having the same freedom. As a team we have come to the conslucion that other members can post a thread to discuss their views, for the time being. This is going to be a TRIAL RUN. Here are few guidelines that MUST BE FOLLOWED by ALL MEMBERS regardless of which thread they choose to participate on.

1) ALL IF COC'S MUST BE FOLLOWED (that means no name calling, no bashing, no inappropriate language, no attacking members etc.)
2) NO INSTIGATING (it is a new rule that was recommended by the CM that will help stop the fights/battles that are going around the forum)
3) STICK TO YOUR THREAD TOPIC (discuss what your thread was opened to discuss, do not pull in what was said in another thread)
4) DO NOT DISCUSS OTHER MEMBERS (discuss your views and your opinions not those of others, this includes pulling what others said in another thread into your own)
If ANY of the above rules (or any IF RULES are broken) ALL threads will be closed and EVERYONE will only have the EDT to discuss in. That means that the only threads open will be Bhalla's update thread and the EDT and NOTHING else.
Between myself and the other DT members, we will keep a close eye on all the threads. If at any point any of the threads break the rules they will be CLOSED IMMEDIATELY - NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Will do my best to keep the thread I open within these rules ...Hopefully it should work out , if it does not then probably it is just not worth going through so much trouble ..
I will ask everyone in my thread to read the regulations ...hopefully there should not be a problem...

My thanks and appreciation to the DT for this solution. I'm happy we still have Tanya's BU thread, because I definitely prefer the shorter version of the updates from which I can glean what happened in the show that day.
I may not watch PR fully anymore, but I still am curious as to what happens there, and would like to know early enough in the day, so that I may discuss my opinions about the show. Not because I no longer watch it does that mean I no longer want to discuss it.
To the Development Team, thanks again and I hope all members heed your request and follow the rules, so that we may all enjoy the forum.

jaz Does this mean I can open a satirical review Kool Comments ?

Can I use the humor terms like 'The Peacock' for Arjun , Saint Purvi for Purvi and Holy Archu for Archana ? Sage DK for DK ?

We really really do NOT mind if others call Savita Mother India . Its funny ..😆

If U notice none of the humor names r bad . The Peacock is a handsome bird who struts around , And Saint And Holy only show mahaan qualities , bas .

I am asking permission for humor beforehand only before I begin .

Please permit us to have clean humor .

Dear Mods,

I agree with piya.

there is very little comraderie here

but I think worse still there is very little tolerance here.

If freedom of speech has to work, there need's to be tolerance of another person's views especially when the views are about a fictional character and an intangible broadcast. I can understand when people are hurt or upset at the bashing of any actor or member but I think that accomodating sensitivities for the case of a fictional character or a broadcasted airwave makes it difficicult to maintain a demoncratic forum for ALL members.

I feel just how it is unreasonable and unfair to ask any person/ member to reduce their love, preference or adoration of any particular character in the show it is similarly unfair and unreasonable to ask any member to curtail their heartfelt critique of the CVs manipulation of a particular character (and we know that happens a lot and to all characters)

groupism is inadvertent when there is a strong preference for one view or character over another. But tolerance of the views of other adults is possible and necessary I think.

I dont have a grieance per say but I do have a request.

the interpretation and enforcement of the current rule on personal attackbashing should be limited to the direct or indirect (through blatant insinuation) of an actor or member NOT to any comments -critical, provocative or favourable- made in relation to any character on the show including the leads and the villians.

the censure on using derogratory language in any manner should be a seperate rule in itself. there should be some distinction made between controversial opinion and derogatory language in enforcement.

lastly, the promotion of tolerance, either through culture building or a rule on the forum. I think the last one is key and shows a level of maturity which a democractic forum definitely needs.

Hope

To the Mods,
I write in relation to the Celebration Thread that Varun had opened yesterday.
It was on the first page earlier today, but is nowhere to be found at all, and most importantly, there is no message from the Mods to tell us why.
I understand the mods feel that this type of thread would lead to clutter on the forum.
If this is the case, a warning note could have been posted in the thread, so that the members would get the message. The celebration was not the only point of this thread, in fact it was the minor reason why this thread was opened.
The main reason as stated by Varun, was to return a sense of fun and togetherness to the forum, after the recent tension. Therefore, Varun (and all participating), could have been advised to cease the party aspect of the thread and just continue with the jokes and funny encounters aspect of the thread.
I believe the sudden and uninformed removal of the thread, to I don't know where, will just increase the tension in the forum.
To date, Prasad's thread for jokes has been allowed to stay on this forum on page one. This thread is very limited in scope, as the jokes are in Marathi, so only those members who understand Marathi can participate. Some members have asked that the jokes be written in Hindi and English, so all members can participate if they wish to. That has not happened as yet, but the thread is still allowed to function.
If Prasad can have his thread about jokes open, I strongly believe that Varun should be allowed to have his thread open as well. The party aspect can be dropped, but we should be able to have fun on this forum in the same way others are allowed to.
If Varun's thread is not allowed to return, with the understanding that there is to be no party aspect to it, that only jokes and funny encounters are allowed, then I think it is only fair that Prasad's thread about jokes be removed to the same location that Varun's thread has been moved to.
Thanking you in advance and hope to get and early response.

Varun,
The mods have expressed that if this thread is used to discuss matters between members and not address issues they have, directly to the mods, then this thread too will be closed down!
