Hey everybody.

i dont know how many of you watched kis desh but i find one part of it, very similar to humsafar.

yes, i know, humsafar is an adaptation of a novel so they definitely were not inspired by kis desh but anywayy, here goes the similarity.

prem's mother seperated prem and heer, manipulating heer's friendship with a male friend. prem, like Asher, believed his mother and heer had to leave the house and go to delhi. then, after prem returned to heer's life like 5/6 years later, heer too had a daughterr, who kida did play a part in bringing them together. ofcourse, kis desh dragged stuff more and was more dramatic but this track resembles humsafar's plot quite a bit. Thought i'd share. 😳

Also, can anyone link me to hareem Asher spoilersss? except those on the first page of the thirteenth and fifteenth AT. 😃

Humsafar ha a very plain,i've seen it 100 times, storyline. I am not surprised.

Humsafar has a very typical soapish story showed so many times earlier...arrange marriage where boy and girl fall in love after marriage, scheming mother in law planning to separate them, a leap and then they meet again after years and they have a kid which was kept hidden from the dad... a track many long running soaps have chosen to keep their show running.

It's nothing new about the story and they haven't claimed that they are going to show you a story you have never seen before...

What's special about Humsafar is the way it has been presented. The acting, the music, the way it has been filmed. The beauty lies in its simplicity...a simple story shown in a beautiful way...and that's why I love this show so much:)

But in that case Heer left on her own because she thought Prem slept with Ashlesha, even Prem thought he did but it was all a plot by Ashlesha. Eventhough, Prem's mother tried the same thing as Asher's mom, prem heer didn't separate for that reason. In that case, Heer left cuz she felt betrayed. In humsafar, Asher refuses to believe Khirad and Khirad feels betrayed and thus she doesn't want to be with him anymore.

Yeah, I have watched Desh & watching humsafar as well..I find a few similarities.

this track of mom manipulating son into believing DIL has an affair with another guys is nothing new... it's been done many times... the last most classic one was MZZB..

that's wht i keep comparing humsafar to...

no matter how similar the storyline is no drma can ever be compared to humsafar in terms of direction, simplicity, dialogues and editing

I have seen Kis Desh...it was one of my favorite shows until it dragged and dragged.

There are big differences.

Heer and Prem were "soul mates" and in love from the start. They WANTED to get married. Khirad and Asher fell in love after they were married and did NOT want to get married before that.

Prem turned into a tandoori chicken, Gaurav and what not before he became Prem again. Asher, thankfully never had to go through that.

Prem's mother hated Heer because she thought her brother was responsible for Prem's sister's death. She loved Heer before. Asher's mom hated Khirad from the start for different reasons.

Heer left cause she believed Prem cheated on her and Prem did try to stop her. Khirad was kicked out of the house by Asher's mother.

Heer hated Prem for cheating on her. Khirad hates Asher for betraying her and not standing by her.

Heer tried to hide the fact that Chahat existed and didn't want Chahat to know who Prem was or wanted Prem in Chahat's life. Khirad never tried to hide the fact that she was pregnant and tried to call him until right before she gave birth. And as far as we know she herself went to Asher and told him about Hareem.

Prem and Heer got together because of a plot/drama played by Prem's family. Khirad and Asher get together because of Hareem's illness.

The two shows and the plots are very very different. The reason Humsafar works is because of FANTASTIC acting, simplicity and the way the story is portrayed without it going overboard.
