Karishma takes on Viraasat:-ve role

Karishma Tanna is on seventh heaven! Two big banner shows and both in quick succession....life really can't get better that this! First, she bagged Rajshri production's Pyaar Ke Do Naam...(in which she plays a UK return, Jitisha) and now the lady has BR Films' Viraasat in her kitty as well!

Producer Ravi Chopra, who is very excited about the way Viraasat is shaping up, confirms Karishma's entry on the show. "Yes, Karishma is joining our camp. She was the one and only choice for this role," says Chopra.

"She plays a very old friend of Rohit Roy, who plays Kunal Lamba on the show. After a long gap she comes back to town, and enters the Lamba family. She will manage to create misunderstandings between Kunal and Priyanka (Sangeeta Ghosh) as she teams up with Rishabh Lamba (Aman Verma)," states the producer.

Karishma is herself very kicked about playing the character. "My appearance on the show will be after a month. Coming to the character, it's a continuing role not the lead of course, but important," says the actor.

On working with BR films and the Viraasat team she says, "I once met Raviji at a party, and he was so warm! I wondered then, how can someone be so down to earth? I have already worked with Aman and Rohit, so I will be comfortable on the sets."

Karishma is a little reluctant as far as signing dailies is concerned and wants to concentrate on the work in hand. It's nice to see the actor opting to play a variety of characters. After playing Indu (for as far as we can remember) and Palak (Palkhi), this is her chance to prove her mettle, that too with the backing of big production houses. Way to go gal!!!
