While we all bang our heads over Raya's back to square one ways and feel irritated by Apeksha mystery, let me veer away a little and talk about a mother and daughter relationship.. Yep, its none other than Niharika and Natasha..
Generally a maa-beti relationship is characterised by close bonding.. There is always love, but it may either be overtly displayed or silently felt by both parties..But here it has left me wondering, whats the hell, is this??
Niharika right from the start knows that her daughter is not an epitome of model behaviour or typical daughter..She knew that Nuts was a drug addict(now rehabilitated) has charted her own course in life( a career in fashion desigining) and had innumerable boyfriends..A loose character who was beyong redeemption..Her only saving grace was Ram was totally unaware( which even I doubt) of Nuts misdemeanours and indiscretions...Cometh karthik, a diametrically opposite person to Nuts nature and character, who loved her crazy.. Niharika grabbed the opportunity and tied them together in the bondage of marriage, when she didnt knew who exactly was responsible for Nuts pregnancy..
Nuts life from a high flying fashion world and living like a queen, with everything and everyone at her beck and call, came crashing down, when she entered into Sharma's household..A spoilt brat, she had tough time to handle genuine love and affection..Save Ram, nobody really cared for her in her maternal place..Her deeply buried insecurites and craving for love started rearing its head as the days progressed..
Once she realised her pathetic condition; her dilemma of whether to disclose her condition to Karthik and his family or concentrate her career was evident... She badly wanted advice from someone, who has genuine interest in her(unlike that Zachs, who may be the real father)..So she tried to reach out to her mom, for emotional support.. But alas! what a mess her life has turned out to be!!
When Nuts wanted a sane advice and moral support, her mom thought that she was crazy to kill the golden goose( read as her married life)..Niharika really didnt care for her daughter and never wanted to do anything that will upset the equations, that involves Ram and Priya's household.. In short for her own advantage and good, she didnt even lend a sympathetic ear to her child..
Niharika's actions and words were tantamounting to cruelty.. I was totally baffled and left wondering how can she do this to her own daughter.. Kahi woh bhi Nut's ki sauthela ma hai kya?.. To wash her hands off and not give Nuts the support and love she craves for, seems horrific.. No wonder Nuts cant handle genuine and heart felt ;simple and unconditional love karthik and his family offers... An abortion she has started to regret and really landed in a guity trip.. Of all persons she calls upthe Gynec for emotional support..
If Niharika had only given her younger daughter the same and equivalent attention and support as her elder one; if she had only taken time to do a little introspection of the present state of affairs, this wouldnt have happened.. Probabaly Niharika feels that Nuts is right now undergoing what she underwent years back and doesnt want change present eqations, as her life is well settled and the money come flowing without cess..A sort of escapism by this inveterate opportunist..
Oops! this ramblings have become too long..But I wanted to think aloud of this dubious Ma- Beti realtionship to get an insight and understanding of their lives..
