Dear CVS please pair The young phoren returned Sachu with Vandu's daughter Gudiya

It will be a lovely pair

He will be little spoilt and arrogant but not bad at heart

And she will be shy , sweet , innocent and timid like her mom

He will be the type who goes to discos and pubs

And she will be the type who daily attends lectures in college and goes to temples on Tuesdays

Show a nice UNLIKELY pairing and romance

In Marathi Caste , one can marry MAAMA's son or daughter

So plzzz CVS , this is authentic

Who has been finalized for Gudiya ?

Plzz finalize someone fresh like a dewdrop .

And yeah , while ur at it , show Sachu setting Rasika straight .

Shravni desrves a good bahu .

And Gudiya can be a lovely engaged to be bhabhi influence on Ovi Teju .

and Show Ajit liking his damad and softening for Gudiya .Plzzz.

The characters may be Maharastrian but not all the masses are. It might be distasteful for a certain section.

Don't get me wrong...I am a south Indian and in my family I have this kind of arrangement. But what is acceptable for my culture may not be acceptable for all.

Deshmukhs may be Maharashtrians but their audience are as diverse from north to south.

Oh yes they can

Hindus do not marry first cousins ...father's brother's son etc ...with same surname

Nor do they marry MOUSI's Beta or Beti ...

But MAAMA 's son or Beti they DO marry in Maharashtrians

Infact during thread ceremony ritual at age of 8 it is promised that way in the ritual only

I tend to agree with Bonne here..It is hard for communities who are not aware of such arrangements to accept...As PR is viewed all over India as well as world..
Yes This arrangement can work within Maharashtrian and some so.indian caste but is not common in rest..Actually other hindus are against such arrangements...Than again it would be a fact of other cultures audiance can learn abt...Kools a valid suggestion considering PR is abt Maharashtrians.
I yet have not seen them casting anyone for Gudiya...All other kids are assigned an actor but her...Wonder if Vandu has any role left post leap...If Rassi is trying to take Savita's chawl home for herself using Vandu than Vandu has to be there post leap I think..
Muslims also can marry their cousins from what I understand..

I believe in each Hindu sub caste , a cousin marraige is allowed...with a litle difference here and there

I don't see what wud be distasteful in this at all , if its explained in the serial

If all cud sit and see Maharshtrians celebrating Karwa Chouth why not this too , at least its genuinely Maharshtrian

I believe even Muslims have marraiges in cousins , correct me if Im wrong and so do Christians

So ALL will accept 😊

Yes muslims can get married to cousins ...
About Sachin and Gudiya ..I have to see them and then only I can think of it being right or wrong ...
I have a feeling that sachin is going to be the problem giving fellow ...and I will not be surprised if it is shown that he is after Poorvi who in turn falls in love with Soham ...
and then the same silsila of sacrifises and qurbaanis start ...
As always TRP's will decide the story line ...which ever actor out of these youngsters gets popular and is liked , that actor will find a relevant story track ...

My general experience has not shown so. The first response to your post says for itself. My own friends have been curious to know of such arrangements and rather find it unappealing. I do not think if such arrangements are part of all Hindu subsections. It is not part of north Indian culture...its more prominent in south and north-east. I am not aware of Christians but Muslims do marry cousins.

Karva Chawth is a festival and not representative of people's way of living. If its Maharashtrian show...they show its festivities and same is the case of other cultural depictions in TV serials.

It also matters what generation you are catering to. Today people choose their own partners and not blindly marry the man/woman who's been chosen by their parents.

Again, what may be appealing to you may not suit all palates. So why not keep it simple and not cross the line which may arise dispute of how they interpret culture.
