Lucky and Mohamed Morani are one of those couples that some might envy. Not in a bad way; just because they seem to have found the magical and inexplicable je ne sais quoi that adds up to a happy married life together.

They are celebrities that downplay their celebrity status. The force behind one of the most successful event management companies in India, Cineyug Production, Mohamed, and his brother, Ali Morani, promote Bollywood around the globe. They both also produce films.

From the inception to completion, Cineyug is an umbrella group that manages every aspect of film, television, event production; from set design, camera work, stage work, direction, scripting to production, this production company covers all aspects of the entertainment industry. Their fireworks division is the foremost in India and has provided spectacular visuals for over five thousand events in the past five decades.

ShaadiTimes catches up Lucky and Mohamed Morani just as they launch their Rock Stars 2006, a whirlwind concert in eighteen cities in the UK, US and Canada, Starring Salman Khan, John Abraham, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat, to name a few.

College sweethearts, Lucky and Mohamed, have known each other from their teens. "We were really good friends in college but not romantically involved. Mohamed had to approach my sister to get to me," she remembers. "He was initially shy. What I admired about Mohamed was that he was ambitious, hard-working. He had a drive to achieve and that was something I have always respected in him," she admits.

Mohamed adds, "The important thing in a marriage is not just living together... it's how you love together." He continues, "Lucky and I have a one-to-one, where we trust each other implicitly. That is the key to success in our marriage. First of all, in our events, business and film production, it requires constant travel." Lucky agrees, "We both try to do as much as we can together without getting into each other's space." "If either a husband or wife are in bad company, you have to try and put them on proper lines. You just can't throw either the husband or the wife out," says Mohamed.

"Trust is also important," says Lucky. "It's very difficult to regain the trust once you've lost it," says Mohamed. "Faith trust, and being there for each other," agrees Lucky and they both laugh.

Although Mohamed and Lucky can be found on Page 3 and have an active social life, they both believe in family and spend a lot of time with their sons, Azar and Alam, both in their teens. Lucky is the heart and soul of her house, which she runs efficiently and represents memories from their travels. The dcor is Mediterranean / Indian and the vibrations are soothing. Lucky is also Mohamed's business advisor. In other words, behind every successful man is a woman. She is instinctive, has sound business acumen and oversees the daily business requirements for the different divisions which include events, films and television production.

The qualities Lucky admires most in Mohamed? "He has allowed me to grow as person. He has always encouraged me to be the best that I can be and brought out the very best in me. He has never dissuaded me from trying anything, whether it is producing a play or coming up with a new concept for our event shows," she says.

When they aren't on the social circuit, or on a world tour both Lucky and Mohamed can be found enjoying leisurely dinners with each other, close friends or their sons.

What quality does Mohamed admire in Lucky? "She's an excellent friend and person. She is loyal and reliable. And for me, she's always lovable."

"Marriage is a bond, and to the best degree an individual should try to make it a duty to adjust and make it work," sums up Mohamed.

Backstage with the Stars...
So, what's it like to be on a tour, travelling with some of India's brightest luminaries? Here are some anecdotes of stars on the current tour and who have participated in past shows. "It's one big working family on a vacation," laughs Lucky. "Although at times it can be a roller coaster ride, we all manage to pull together, especially when we are on the road shows."

Although Shah Rukh Khan isn't in Rock Stars, he has starred in many concerts for the Moranis in the past. "Shah Rukh is a thorough gentleman and a professional," says Lucky. "He's lots of fun to be around. He doesn't like to party too much at night and likes to spend time with his family and host dinners."

Salman Khan, who stars in Rock Stars 2006, "Is fun and likes to party," says Lucky. "Most people feel he only party's, but he enjoys the company of his relatives. He's close to his sisters and his Mom, who travel with him at times."

"Kareena Kapoor is very independent and doesn't carry much baggage with her. She is nice and friendly. She likes to spend time with close friends and family.

"Shahid Kapoor is energetic, fun loving, a fantastic dancer and fun to be around."

"This is John Abraham's first live tour. He has worked hard and is a wonderful dancer. He is sociable and friendly."
