December 10, 1948.
1945-
World War II has ended. During the war, many were mistreated and that's when the United Nations steps in. They vowed to never again allow such atrocities to happen. That lead to the making of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

On this day, we get the chance to pay tribute to the many human rights defenders and also remember the Universal Declaration of human rights.

How many times have you opened your fridge and cupboard and went "Oh, there is nothing good to eat!" Or how many times have you been forced to eat fruit, or anything healthy for that matter. Now, stop! Think about it for a while.
Do you realize that there are people in this very world that would literally die for that food?

E A T I N G. That's a basic human right that they should have.

If you can't give, don't complain.

Whether it's standing up for women's rights, minority rights, child rights, stand up for the people who can't. Now go back up and read the quote in the first signature up there. Yes, it's in our hands. Let's make this world a better place. You tell us! Any incidents you've experienced that have violated human rights? Any story you'd like to share?

Amazing thread Jot

One has to alws stand for there own rights, and speaking up for ur rights that to basic rights is never wrong.

If one can stand for himself than he or she can surely stand for others. Just saying that its wrong and doing nothing for that is more wrong.

Happy Human Rights Day =)

first things first😃
i loved this symbol

^^So realistic😭
I felt like crying seeing the image😭😭

Im always very sensitive about these matters- Be it a small fight (within family or outside the society), or a huge human rights argument (which mom always keeps me away from)-- it affects me to no end

The other day, i was hearing about a rishta, which got cancelled bcoz of the want of dahej😃 i told my informer- i respect the person who cancelled the rishta a lot HOW can someone ask for something thats legally not permitted! forget the law-- ITS UNETHICAL😡😡

These days, there are shows (Crime Patrol) for example, which encourage people to stand up! I catch up with such shows whenever i can😳 But seriously, sometimes i dont like watching it-- so much of negativity, so much of corruptness-- i cry so much sometimes!
And just the thought of such incidences happening in real life, i cant stop cursing them😒

Human Rights-- Such a heavy word-- i dont feel we are giving it justice- not even 60-70%
HR along with Duties (ofcourse) shud be taken care of Its high time, coz even today we hear many brutal, unethical, inhuman cases-- and we cant do anything about it

I hope in future, i can do atleast something to preserve human rights😳

Well, did i deviate from the topic🤔 I hope i didnt talk shit😳

Thanx for the post Jot😃

Nice information.

Even now, almost every other person, every other family, etc, are fighting for it. Everyone says it but actually doing it is hard and people back out at times.

Hope M not one of them..

anyways, happy human rights day

Appreciate your concern towards the under privileged.

But sometimes a thought just crosses my mind, if we could ever do something other than spreading awareness.

But great thread Jot =)

Great Thread! Though sadly it is true Human Rights are still denied today in some parts of the world. Every one should raise their voice for human rights!

liked ur post..good work...someone rightly said: Human Rights for everyone is the necessary foundation upon which all of us may build a world where everybody may live in peace and serenity and plenty. Although sadly it is true that Human Rights are still denied today...also like to share another quote : You can imprison a man, but not an idea. You can exile a man, but not an idea. You can kill a man, but not an idea."...but m not agree with the concept of Holocaust...m not against of Human rights but this is the thing which i cant believe that it actually happened..sorry if i hurt anyone by saying such thing..its completely my opinion...

Happy human Rights day!!!!!...
