December 10, 1948.
1945- World War II has ended. During the war, many were mistreated and that's when the United Nations steps in. They vowed to never again allow such atrocities to happen. That lead to the making of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

On this day, we get the chance to pay tribute to the many human rights defenders and also remember the Universal Declaration of human rights.

How many times have you opened your fridge and cupboard and went "Oh, there is nothing good to eat!" Or how many times have you been forced to eat fruit, or anything healthy for that matter. Now, stop! Think about it for a while.
Do you realize that there are people in this very world that would literally die for that food?
E A T I N G. That's a basic human right that they should have.
If you can't give, don't complain.

Whether it's standing up for women's rights, minority rights, child rights, stand up for the people who can't. Now go back up and read the quote in the first signature up there. Yes, it's in our hands. Let's make this world a better place. You tell us! Any incidents you've experienced that have violated human rights? Any story you'd like to share?
