I just cant understand why a woman is recognised by her ability to bear children. A woman has her own individuality, she is her own person. If she wants a child, great! if not why should anyone hold it against her.

As a person going through all these emotions myself, i can tell you its the most insensitive thing you can ask a woman in her 30s.

I'm so sorry if you're constantly asked this. I know I get annoyed when my parents start talking about marriage and asking me when I'll get married and bear them grandchildren--like my body isn't mine and belongs to someone else. It's frustrating as hell, especially in an Indian community where marriage and children seem to be the only priority women are allowed to have.

It's so insensitive and I would hope as women we understand each other and not pass comments like that. More to Kareena--she can do what she wants with HER body.

Coco, it's not just the Indian Community, trust me. I have friends belonging to different communities (Pakistani and Bangladeshi esp.) and there is that mindset there as well.
