So, uh...what happened?

Ok, so I had promised myself that I wouldn't ever watch Pavitra Rishta ever again. The plot was basically nonexistant. All the characters were becoming unbelievable, most importantly Archana and Sulochana. Savita kept switching back and forth like a polar person.
There was basically NO POINT in watching it.
(This was around a month or two ago.)
And I also had started watching other shows like IPKKND and stuff, so PR was totally out of my head.
But on facebook, a PR fanpage of which I was still part of showed that Hiten Tejwani was "Manav."
I mean, I knew that Sushant had left, but I thought that it was because the show was ending or something. Or that the character of Manav died. But obviously that's not the case.
So...
How exactly did this happen?
Was it one of those all-too-famous Ekta Kapoor plastic surgeries?

No Sushant left because he no longer found the role challenging, he wanted to pursue other dreams. Sushant was written out when Manav left for a business trip, when Manav returned it was Hiten. There was no plastic surgery nor was he killed off.

So just like that? All of a sudden? Did they build up to it?

No we knew for months that this change would have taken place and i think Hitten is doing quite well in the show. 😃
