Bollywood babes find a new way to make bank!

And we can't blame them one bit!

Why work a hectic shooting schedule, rehearse endless lines, kiss co-stars with bad breath, and learn dance sequences...oh wait. Well, it's obvious that the item number craze has officially become one of the most sought after things in Bollywood today! Industry insiders say more actresses are vying for item songs than full-fledged movie roles. Now with recent news that actress Chitrangada Singh just scored herself an item song in Joker, modeled after Madhuri's former hits, those industry guys might be right! Nowadays however, these ladies are hoping for longevity and banking on preforming their hit songs on stage!

After last year's hit song 'Sheila Ki Jawani' took off, Katrina Kaif supposedly received some 25 offers to perform that song at various functions. While making Ra.One, Kareena Kapoor insisted on doing the song 'Chammak Challo', perhaps knowing what a hook the song would have. SRK explained:

"Kareena insisted that she wanted two songs which she could perform on through the year, and I gave it to her."

Now Kareena is in demand for stage shows. Lalit Jain, a Bollywood event organizer, said:

"Many people want Kareena to perform to Chammak Challo, but she doesn't do too many stage shows. She performs at award functions. Her basic estimate for one performance has definitely gone up."

According to a Mumbai tab, here's what our Bollywood babes make per performance:

Kareena Kapoor: 67-70 lakhs per entry/per stage show or award function.

Katrina Kaif: 65 lakhs per entry/per stage show.

Priyanka Chopra: 50-55 lakhs per stage show. 55 lakhs or more for private weddings. [So that's what the Reddy's paid her?]

Malaika Arora Khan: 18- 20 lakhs for each corporate event. 25 lakhs for private or wedding performances.

Bipasha Basu: 10-15 lakhs for stage and award performances. 20 lakhs or more for special parties.

Deepika Padukone: 7-8 lakhs for stage and award functions.

Other actresses like Anushka Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sonam Kapoor get anywhere between 2-5 lakhs per performance.

To each to their own but Bollywood stars lose their credibility by dancing in weddings or in some cases bachelor dos. Makes me think they are nothing but glorified dancers.

For 2-3 lakhs...WOW I don't mind paying Anuskhka Sharma just to smile on my birthday...

the singers sing for the whole night, but Anushka & other starlets just dance on a medley for which they have to spend only one day to rehearse & an hour to perform 😊

yeah. that's pea-nut for an on-demand Bollywood actor, but my point is they have to spend a meager amount of their daily schedule to make 5 - 10 grand; not bad actually.

that photographer have to spend 3 to 4 days for planning, executing, & editing. he have to pay his assistants & the spot-boys as well, but this starlets are taking the whole fish at home, aren't they? 😊

chalo chodo...In any category category..In this case one leading actor simply cannot earn 30 to 40 TIMES another however junior the other is..

The economics is simply messed up and ridiculous..
