I hear people say "This actress was at the peak of her career at that time" Or "These actresses are at the peak of their career."

Do they mean it's almost time for them to retire so they are enjoying success for now😕 Or they starting to get success now and will continue to look forward to them?

well, peak is generally the highest point of their career..the pinnacle before which they begin to drop...so a peak is like the best phase of a person's life/career which is often followed by a lull

when they are doing really well in their field compared to others either BO wise or performance wise like kareena peak was jab we met Priyanka fashion etc.

It means that it is the best phase of her career, as in she's working with the best actors/directors and doing good work compared to whatever she's done before. In short - best phase of her career.

it means they have hit a purple patch ... with a string of hits to their name ...
and this industry is a lot about luck too ... so the phase might not last forever ... hence "peak" ... before things "subside" again
