Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a name to reckon with today. Considered to be one of the best voices in the subcontinent today, this man has touched great heights.
Related to Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, it was an easy entry into the singing world, but his unfathomable talent soon resulted in more popularity and today his songs are on everyone's lips.
Rahat got his first Bollywood break through Pooja Bhatt who introduced his song "Mann Ki Lagan" in the John Abraham starrer Paap. Not many know that the singer had actually sung that song for his solo album that Bhatt's got to hear through some source and decided to make it a part of their song. Since then, the singer has been quite regular in Bollywood movies, and has been churning out hits after hits.
Now, it is heard that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is planning to take a break from Bollywood, and concentrate on his solo album. It is heard that after plans of a solo album in 2003 went kaput(thanks to the company he was contracted to shutting down), Rahat concentrated only on singing playback has so far sung songs in Bollywood, Lollywood, and Pakistani Dramas. His publicist insists that he is now planning to launch a single album(expected in 2012). The singer is also expected to tour US in 2012 and that is when we hear the album will be announced.
