CRUEL JOKE

It was 5:30 I nthe morning and dev's family , geet's friends , armaan , sapna ,riddhima's father and mrs. Mallik along with savitri and dhanraj khurana were present there . the temple was beautifully decorated and a mandap was set in the middle. All were present there….. and then all were surprised to see mr.mallik and maan his parents with adi coming there. Alex and his friends did not allow them to come near.. but they were about to start a fight when they heard a car stopping there…. And went to see riddhima and pia (dev's sister….)coming out accompanied by geet who was wearing a red ghagra with minimal jwelery and mack up that had helped in enhancing her beauty….. she was looking like a fairy….. angel…..

Pari…… maan thought…… you will be mine soon sweet heart and gave a dangerous smirk…..

She walked up the stairs of the temple… her payal was making beautiful chum – chum sound. She came inside and first bend down to touch the feets of dev's parents . they kissed her forehead…. His mom put a little kajal near her ears…..

Nazar na lage meri princess ko……. And then she put her hand around geet's neck and took out the two chains that she was wearing leaving her cross and chain…. And gave then to pia….. and then took out a necklace from her neck and put it around her neck….. when mr.agni hotri said….

Princess yeh hamari khandani hai…. Meri dadi ne meri mom ko dia tha aur meri mom ne tumhare mom ko…… aura b tumhari mom …. Tumhe……

Hmm…. I am now going old mishty…. I want you to take my responsibilities…... mrs.agnihotri said….

And gave her kangan taking out from her hand….. and kissed her forehead…… I am sure you will be the best in our life……

She turned around and went to her mom and hugged her and then hugged armaan……

Thanks bhai….. I did not think that you will come…..

Armaan – meri behan ki saadi ho aur mian na aaun???? Waise mish… you are looking so sweet that dev will fall from the stairs after seeing you……

Geet – dev…. Dev nahin aaya abhi tak????

Pia – nahin bhabi… bhai abhi aate hin honge………

Alex – oh….. missing him????? Don't worry dear…. After your few hours you will always be with him so much that you will find ways to stay away from him …..

Geet – why?????

Abhel – to avoid public embarrassment dear….. you know…….

To which geet only gasped and turned a shade of pink…….

Abhi – god…. Princess hum logon ne tumhe blush karte hue nahin dekha since 10 years…..

Abhay – whah… saadi hui nahin to yeh change aur jab saadi ho jayegi toh kya kya change nahin hoga….. just think about it…..

Visakha – shut up abhay…. Stop teasing her…… waise geet aap lag rahe ho bahut sweet…. Kahin dev ko diabetis na ho jaye…. Aap ke saath hamesha reh ke……

To which geet opened her mouth but before she could say any thing some one called her nad she turned to see savitri and dhanraj khurana standing there…. She smiled na dwent upto them and hugged them calling them dadi and dadu…. Which surprised every one….

Savitri – are you angry on us????

Geet – come on sweet heart you know I am not angry on both of you

Dhanraj – but you are upset isn't it???

Geet – yup…little little nda shoed a small space in her finger… itni upset hoon…. Ki hum itne mahino trak milte the paar aapne mujhe nahin kaha ki aap log kaun ho……. An dpouted a little….. waise leave that … iam so happy that you both came here……

Just then a call came to maan to inform him that his work has been done…..

Paandit – bte …. Muhrat ka time ho gaya hai… var aur vadhu ko bulaea……..

Mr.agnihotri – ji pandit ji… najane yeh ladka kaha n reh gaya……

Maan (self - thought) – var hoga toh aayega naw…..

Then ashudder passed through geet . and she the weried feeling in her stomach and heart returned many folds that had been there since yesterday night….. she had first dismissed it to be as nervousness but nw she knew that it was more than nervousness…..

Riddhima - di… you alright??????

Geet – yah… mian theek hoon….

And then she started walking towards the temple stairs as if sensing some thing…….

Savitri – kahan ja rahi ho…. Dev aata hin hoga…. Tum baith jao…..

But she heard nothing…..

Armaan - mishty… come back

And all said to her but every thing fell on her deaf ears……

She walked down the stairs to only to see a wreached car coming to stop at some distance from her . the car was in a very bad condition…. Soon the driver side door opened and a bloodied torso flunged out….

AFTER TWO AND HALF YEARS…….

A marriage reception was going on hotel blue moon, one of the finest hotels of delhi and also of india……. It was a hotel under khurana groups….. the whole khurana and mallik family was present there….. in these years many things have changed…. The party was going on a full mood…. Dance …music…. Gifts …. Laughters …. Very thing one can think of…. It was more of a youngster party rather than a family one….. all the business tycoons were present there as it was not only a reception party but also the formal engagement of the youngest khurana who was to be married in 7 days to the youngest mallik….. i.e vikrant singh khurana and sapna mallik …... suddenly a man shouted….

Oye dulhe raja…. Cehre pe bara kyun baje hue hain???????

Huh?????

Kiska intezaar hai dev….. maan asked

Dev – kuch nahin yaar… whoh mom- dad nahin aaye…. Neither pia…..

Maan – I know they were against your marriage with her…. Par yaar yeh kaise baat hui kit ere reception pe bhi nahin aaye?????

While dev looked thoughtful maan gave a slight evil smirk. The music had stopped and the people had stopped dancing and were now talking among them selfs….. but then suddenly there was a soothing breeze and the family members stopped talking and looked at the entrance … dev and maan followed their gaze and unlike many or almost all the family present there…. Maan was also shocked and turned to look at dev who was very happy and a positive glow was seen in his face….. he turned to look at his wife who was also smiling….. she was wearing a blue and a black salwar…..hairs tied in a loose rubberband …. Her duppatta pinned to one side …… and wearing a light black framed specs…. A hand purse in her right hand that had a bracelet…. And a watch in her left hand… small stud and just a chain that had a cross in it ……she walked inside in full grace with abhay beside her …. She did not even look at anyone and walked straight towards dev…. Maan was standing near him…. She did not even lookat his once….

Dev looked at her and came forward to hug her when she extended her hand to stop him….

Dev – what????

Girl – where are they????

Dev – who?????

Girl – mom , papa and pia….

Dev – they did not come….. he said in a aloof tone….

Girl – tune unhe bulaya yahan??????

Dev – kya princess unhe bulana cahiye kya whoh toh mere parents hai… unhe aana cahiye tha…. He said I a deanding tone…..

Girl – you are their only son… they would be waiting for you to go and call them dev…..

Dev – but they were even against my marriage…. He said in a desperate tone to prove his point…

Girl – toh kya whoh log nahin aaye the ???? unhone aapna farz nahin nibhaye???? Pia ne behan ka farz nahin nibhaya…. 2 weeks ke baad uska final semester hai…. Whoh sirf tere saadi ke liye leave pe aayi thi….

Dev – but….

Girl – did you call them??? Did you ask them why??? I am sure they would have told you why??? Even meera went to call them but not you….. she said pointing towards the girl standing next to her…..

Dev – I went to them… they said they wont come….. he said finaaly giving up and realizing his mistake….

Girl – what a joke dev…. Mujhe pata hai…. Tu unlogon ko kaise bulaya hoga….. whoh tere parents hai…. Unhe pura haq banta hai tujhpe gussa karne ka…. Lekin unlogon ke bina tujhe koi support nahin karega….. jab tujhe 90 ya 95 ho jayega na… tab bhi whoh log hint ere saath rahenge smjha…..

Dev – fine…. I am sorry…. par princess tu itne dino ke baad aayi hai sirf mujhe taunt karne ke liye?????

Girl – first go and call them and then we will talk….. she said crossing her hand across her chest…..

Dev – par princess…. He made a cute face…..

Girl – go and call them

Dev – fine… princes…. But know one fact….. I HATE YOU……

Girl – don't worry dev….. the feeling is mutual…. Now go … they are outside….

Dev – you brought them ????

Girl – yah……

Dev – you are great….. he said happily…..

Girl – I know…..

dev – please come with me…. I don't know if they will agree…..

girl – I wont go…. Tu khud ja unhe bula…. Main meera ke saath yahan hoon…. Bring them on man and make It quick….

And pushed him…..

Dev – thanks GEET….. you are truly my princess…. And gave her a hug and went to garden to call them ….

Meera – geet di…..

Geet – yah…

Meera - you are still looking the same you know … even more beautiful …. An dsmiled
