Fanna - Movie or Unethical Business!

Multiplex Troubles for Fanna

If you read above article, producers seems to push multiplex price. Abstract from artilce, the movie's director Kunal Kohli has just clarified the situation, saying, "We at Yashraj Films would like to clarify to the public and audiences who are waiting to see Fanaa that we have not asked for any ticket hike from multiplexes. We have only asked to give a better share for Fanaa." "We believe that we bring a certain value to film and that we should accordingly get that benefit," added Kohli.

So what are they trying to say? We have not asked for ticket hike? ONLY asked for better share? Now what do they "really" mean? All the other directors, producers are not working hard enough for their movie???? Only Yashraj Films is working hard enough to ask for thier fare share? Give me a break!!!! such a snobbish statement!!!

Business and ethics has always been a stickey issue. There are no certain rules and regulations. But this is too much. To rip of viewers in the name of Yashraj! I was really angry after reading this news. Not sure what do you guys think?

hmmmmmm, i read it too and all i can say is that Aditya Chopra is an astute shrewd buisnessman..... In a way, Yashraj monopolize bollywood....They distribute every SRK/hrithik roshan/karan johar film apart from producing three of their own films every year...and most of the yashraj distributed masala flicks are sureshot hits at the boxoffice......it goes without saying that fanaa, kkrish, KANK, and Dhoom 2 would be the biggest hits of this year, all distributed by Yashraj


Its all money...and in business, there's no place for ethics....even if people have to pay 25-50 rupees more, they wouldnt miss fanaa(neither would I).....Yashraj was very lucky as kajol who's really choosy green signalled the film, aamir khan who too is equally choosy and particular agreed to do fanaa...there must be something special in it....now fanaa minus kajol and aamir is nothing...but the fact is that yashraj pay these stars three times more than what they would pay other middling stars...aamir khan wouldnt work for anything less than 3-4 crores, kajol too would have charged a crore...fanaa is no neil and nikki........and i dont think we can compare movies of fanaa's class with the other shoddily filmed ones like shaadi se pehle.....

so i guess they are right in charging more....and if people cannot afford, they can wait for 1.5 years..sony/star would but the rights and telecast fanaa after 1.5 years or we can even watch it on piratted dvd 😆

its not in the name of yashraj...its in the name of aamir khan and kajol......now another YR movie in the pipeline is kaabul express, staring john abraham and arshad warsi....now YR wouldnt hike the multiplex prices for kaabul express or even dhoom.....but aamir khan and kajol add an extra something to fanaa...now if fanaa was made outside yashraj, starring rahul bose and konkona sharma, would people go and watch it in whopping numbers 😉

point taken guys, but i was more angry about the statement where he sound like other film producers/directors are not as good as them...maybe this is true..but such an arrogant statement.

Bec'se Aamir Khan recently joined Medha Patkar in Anti-Sardar Sarovar Dam Project protests. AK shouldn't have done that.

I know that but can you explain me the reason why they are doing it?

I dont think there is any reason for Gujaratis to ban Fanaa or rather Amir Khan.

Amir Khan has never said that the SS Dam construction be stopped, he just said that those displaced by the dam should be rehabilitataed first and then the dam be constructed. And i dont think that is wrong. it is just that the Gujaratis are obsessed by their development and arent concerned about others. And dats because majority of those displaced are from maharashtra and not gujarat. The CM of Maharashtra was the only one to oppose it.

I wonder why the Gujaratis are not concerned about those displaced.
