I doubt the role was offered to Sameer. Its so obvious the role was written for Ram. Both Ram and EK have said the same and I believe them. Sameer has this habit of making tall claims right from his Jassi days. Those days he used to claim he was offered Armaan's role.
If he was offered these roles then I would say he was rather dumb not to take them up and instead finally played sidey roles.
