So we are back to Geet ending or not ending circus!!!!! This just proves that when something becomes popula...everyone wants to ride on that bandwagon to get some mileage out of it, to draw attention towards it. Attention and trps ke liye kuch bhi karega!!😛 That seems to be the case with Geet too...always mired in some controversy or the other...sometimes actors, other times channel or PH and often the AUDIENCE too!!! Everyone seems to know what's the right thing to do!!!
Star one is undergoing a revamp...we have known it for a while now but what exactly is happening we don't really know. As far as I understand, getting trps on SO is an issue due to it's low reach to audience. SO reach is almost 20% less than many popular channel but is the channel doing anything to expand that base????? I don't know! 😕 Revamp does not mean taking off old shows and replacing it with new shows. SO has a lot of youth audience...they cannot just lose those with the hope of getting new audience...can they??? That is not a good business strategy. I am a regular SO viewer since a long time and watch it more than any other channel. So if SO puts a plug ona current show I love...will I continue to watch the channel...NO WAY!!! Geet is a popular show and the channel must not risk losing so many loyal audience.
So many popular shows like MJHT and DMG were taken off air and replaced with shows that never got the same fan following...what happened in return???? SO lost so many loyal audience!! I would sincerely suggest that the channel does not go against the wave one more time and earn the wrath of so many loyal fans...instead work on the revamp, keep some old shows, introduce new ones to attract wider audience. Invest some money in expanding the base, advertize on sister channels, do free publicity for some time to attract more audience. The majority might be woman viewers but there is a whole segment of youth and a large segment of women who still enjoy family dramas minus the saas bahu cat fights!!! GHSP comes in that category. Please focus on these audience and strategize accordingly. Ending a popular show wont take you anywhere especially when it still has a lot of story and strength left in it.😃
Coming to the dearest Production House!!! They have given us a show we came to love dearly. We fell in love with their concept, their Maaneet but now they feel it's time to break off...why???? We don't know. Is it because they can't handle the popularity or is it becoz it is not a good business proposition for them anymore????? Are you not getting enough returns for your investments????😕 I know there is more to a show than actors, story or the tracks. I am sure PH has the choice to continue with the show...channel would not want to loose its USP and MAANEET/Ghsp IS Star One's USP! They cannot abandon one baby for another! 😲 As of now...PH seem to be really keen to let go of the show. There are so many indications for us to make us think that. Can we expect them to improve their working style that works for everyone associated with it??? Popular opinion may not always be the right opinion but it is still the majority opinion which cannot be ignored. I hope the PH puts their house in order and continue to churn out more epic episodes in the future.😃
Coming to the present track and story...we got a beautiful and poignant episode yesterday😭😃...it was par excellence in terms of screenplay, dialogue, execution and above all acting. So a BIG BIG thanks to each person before and behind the camera who made it possible.👏👏👏👏👏 It was one of the epic episodes of Geet that I shall cherish for a long time. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
