I dont want Geet to end though

i dont think it should end ...if other shows can run for years why not GHSP?????

Thank you so much for having the courage to write this. I have debated over the last few days if I should express these very thoughts about the news, but never did muster up the courage. I really appreciate you for making this much needed post. I hope my reply goes up before any potential taalas, although I think the way you have phrased it will allow people to understand your pure and very positive, healthy sentiments.

As much as the PH and the channel are in this for monetary gain, it is also their creative work. They want it to be appreciated, loved and have the integrity that they started it off with. I respect it if they believe their creative vision has been fulfilled. These are the people who created the show, created Maan and Geet, created the world we inhabited for half an hour each day and I think they would know what is best for the story and characters.

I don't think I am any less of a fan for believing that if Geet ends, whenever it does end, it will be for the best. The PH wants to make sure that a journey that started off so beautifully ends with the same grace. We as fans have no idea of the logistics that go into coming up with a story line, incorporating all the side characters, allotting the correct time to each of them and making sure each episode goes smoothly. I maintain that they know better and whatever decision they make, I will respect it and continue to love Geet and cherish it as a wonderful period of my life.

Much like you said, Geet came into my life in a time of great confusion and it provided support, escape, peace and a little bit of magic! Anything else I was confused about, I knew I could look forward to 9:30, where Maan and Geet would be safe, beautiful and in love and everything would be right with the world. I would hate to see anything compromise that essence of the show, especially forcing creative individuals to continue with an idea that they were not convinced about anymore.

I am not saying I want Geet to end, of course I don't. But if it does end I am also, with you, ready to let go. Geet has been a beautiful experience. It has reinforced my belief in true love (I hope that doesn't sound too corny) and made me realise that I shouldn't settle for anything less in my own life! I am going to savour whatever we have left of the show, because I am sure the CVs, who have given us such brilliant work and artistry so far, will not fail us, as long as they are doing what they love.

I got pretty emotional writing this, 😒 but that just goes to show how much I am going to miss this experience when it's gone. But whenever the time comes to move on, I will accept it gracefully as you have.

Thank you so much for voicing the thoughts of the' minority' as someone here called us.

Personally, i highly doubt if we are so much in the minority...most of us keep silent but lack the courage to say this on the forum unlike you.

As I said in an earlier post, Geet appeared in my life when it was pretty much at its lowest point exactly one year and five months ago to the date. It became my anchor and succor when the times got darker and grimmer. It was the one constant in my life that I clutched on to much like a child to its mother. Everyday, I woke up to a dead day only for a light to go off in my brain that reminded me that I had Geet to look forward to that day.

It felt as though God smiled and everything was right with the world. Over a period of time, the show went through its ups and down but I stuck by it like glue.(I normally have a habit of abandoning shows midway if things don't go to my liking.)

I was thankful to the channel..never thought much of this channel before this, the PH , the actors..never watched GC before though I caught glimpses of him in his previous show. I liked DD in her previous show but she didn't actually bowl me over.
I never paid attention to dialogue writers, DOPS, or any crew before this. I was thankful to all of them for putting a smile on my face and for actually making me look forward to something everyday.

This is how involved I became with this show.

So, it is just as hard for me to accept that the show is ending as much as it is for all those who are fighting to keep it on by calling the channel. I have to live with the fact that my sheet anchor is being taken away especially since I still need it as desperately as i did in April last year.

But, like you said, the time will come when all good things must end. and how long can we hold on to something that may have done its time. If not today, it will have to end someday.

And, if the article is true, then we should learn to accept the inevitable.

And, thank our stars that we were lucky enough to watch this amazing show!😃
