Whether we talk about the PH, the Channel or the actors, at the end of the day its business, and going by reports, GeetHSP is by far the most popular show not only on StarOne but on television right now I guess.

being popular in the online circles unfortunately doesnt add or contribute to the revenues of the channel and a show cant go on forever when you know there are no monetary gains in return ...!!! and if the news has come out, it could also be cos of reasons you and i dont know of, being audience we see only one side of the coin and i believe there are reasons more than what we know behind this ...

Had they stopped it after they had finished the original story, things would have been different. But the recent track, be it in terms of writing, execution or acting, is going brilliantly and the TRPs have improved as well.

agreed !! but again, thats not a choice we get to make .. any show has a start and an end point, and moreover, when a show is conceived the makers have a vision and they get to decide how long they want it to last, in this case i do not know how long they had planned it to go on !! a 0. 1 or 0.2 trp rise isnt very beneficial to a channel, however if it touches 1 or more may be then then one could reconsider these things ... !! after all like you said its business, the makers wouldn't want to venture into something that doesnt give them returns and online feedback is not everything.. !!sadly as audience we are not aware of the other dynamics that go on to add onto a major part of the entire jigsaw as its not relevant to us ...

So why stop now?

I guess employees will suffer more if the show goes off-air anytime soon.

2. Khurana history

3. Vicky

4. Dev can always turn negative

5. NT's fate

again like i said, this is not the only thing the makers are worried about!! story and tracks are just one part of the ball game !!

Most importantly, a strong, educated and independent Geet.

Of course the love story that gets only better with time.

If at all, revamp of Star One forces things to change, the option of reincarnation is always open.

My opinion is there is no point in killing your golden goose.

this is not a popular opinion, it is a hype created online opinion!! and if the makers and the channel knows its a golden goose i am sure they wud never want to kill it... they would definitely know this!! we watch the shows they see the numbers.. so they know wad they are doing !! if it was just about trps and story i am sure the show would have ended long back like to said when things started dropping !!!

GeetHSP must stay minimum for one more year.

love doesnt fill stomachs, it doesnt give trps ... if it did things would have been diff !! most of the people rooting for the show, and its continuation sadly dont seem to be reflecting drastically in the numbers .. or so it seems .. I am not being their mouth piece, i am just looking at it as if i were a house running a business, if something wasnt giving me returns and i gave it a chance for a while, i would obviously reconsider my decision and remove the unwanted elements from my plans if i think it would benefit me ...!!! thats the rule of the game it happens everywhere .. if the world really ran on emotions, we would all be happy people ...

That said it is the Channel's and PH's final call...Let them do what they can...and loyal fans will do what they can..

As I said in an earlier post, Geet appeared in my life when it was pretty much at its lowest point exactly one year and five months ago to the date. It became my anchor and succor when the times got darker and grimmer. It was the one constant in my life that I clutched on to much like a child to its mother. Everyday, I woke up to a dead day only for a light to go off in my brain that reminded me that I had Geet to look forward to that day.

i guess that was the case with many, and the reason why most people are so emotionally attached to the show, the execution and the delivery were mind blowing... and hence the thought of no Maaneet is scary no doubt .. however .. the rumors of its ending will now keep resurfacing time and again ... hence i thot it made sense of voice what i felt, besides calling the channel, PH forcing them not to end etc etc acc to me will not yeild anything if the decision has already been made. Acc to me its emotionally trying to tie down someone only cos you love them!!! this is my way of looking at life, others may not agree ... but ive realised this approach has not just made me happy, it has also made my surroundings pleasant.. besides this little piece thats gone on to become more than a show at the end of the day is a show only.. and saying things 3wont change it would it?

It felt as though God smiled and everything was right with the world. Over a period of time, the show went through its ups and down but I stuck by it like glue.(I normally have a habit of abandoning shows midway if things don't go to my liking.)

I was thankful to the channel..never thought much of this channel before this, the PH , the actors..never watched GC before though I caught glimpses of him in his previous show. I liked DD in her previous show but she didn't actually bowl me over.
I never paid attention to dialogue writers, DOPS, or any crew before this. I was thankful to all of them for putting a smile on my face and for actually making me look forward to something everyday.

Haha!! me always been a behind the scenes works fan !! so for me the departments acing it and their indepth interest, passion and hardwork is what attracted me the most to the show ...!!!

This is how involved I became with this show.

So, it is just as hard for me to accept that the show is ending as much as it is for all those who are fighting to keep it on by calling the channel. I have to live with the fact that my sheet anchor is being taken away especially since I still need it as desperately as i did in April last year.

But, like you said, the time will come when all good things must end. and how long can we hold on to something that may have done its time. If not today, it will have to end someday.

And, if the article is true, then we should learn to accept the inevitable.

And, thank our stars that we were lucky enough to watch this amazing show!😃

i have just one question ! why dus any post with an opinion other than what meets yours necessarily mean lack of interest in the show. Anyone who feels the show has lost it's essence needs to watch today's episode!!!!! They must also watch last week's episodes...if they still feel the show should end and does not have any story left, then they need to watch SP or Colors show to understand what should end and what should stay.

i myself loved today's episode !!!it was spectacular ...!!! and we dont need to compare our show with shows of another channel that belong to another genre altogether ... each channel has its USP and its audience .. we are not one to question those, just as they dont get to point fingers at us.

Revamp doesn't mean every shows should end...a better strategy would be to have a mix of old and news shows. GHSP has always been a family drama with Maaneet's love story...there are many stories/tracks that can come post October. I am sure the creatives have a lot of exciting stories for us to watch!!! So I look forward to watching GHSP much beyond October becoz I love the show and I love Maaneet!!!!

hey! i love maaneet too, why else would i be so effected by them? I am sure if they do have a story to tell, and they continue I will be more than happy to watch it .. however, i am only saying if the decision is to end the show i will not protest and merely respect the choice and decision, that you must have understood by now !!!

I am not sure why people keep harping about the ending the show. It will end when it has to and majority of us feel there is still a lot more to come, many stories to tell before GHSP ends!!!!

We are not fighting to save this show because we want to prove that '' we as audience can hold on a show, when an authority wants to end it'' but because we want to assure them that the viewers still love the show and feel that there are loads of interesting tracks that can still be explored.

if verbal assurances worked and directly reflected in the trps i am sure things would have been very different ... from what we have known and seen in the past its the trps that call the shots and with all the revamp and stuff may be the channel has other plans... i dont know i am just thinking aloud .. if they get a choice i am sure the makers will do whats best.. but right now its not just the love for the show that will help.. there is something amiss somewhere.. thats wad one needs to look into ...


As viewers isn't it our right and duty to give genuine feedback? We have always praised the PH when required. But now when we see the step motherly treatment they dole out to their first born, we will naturally raise our voice against it. If they get praise, they should be ready to receive the criticism too!!!

hey this i feel is again a personal opinion, cos i have felt the makers have paid extra attention to Geet after their second production.. some of the episodes and sequences on the show have been far better than the ones on their other show... i have personally connected more with GHSP during this track than i ever did during the whole Amritsar scene... and sure, we do have the right to give them feedback, thats why we are here .. but i am sure despite all this if something is not working, i would like to believe may be there is something we cant see, and we are not connected with that has a role to play... and that changes the entire ball game .. as an audience i wouldnt go there cos for me it would be intrusion !! my involvement stops beyond entertainment and feedback and if something still is amiss, then i think its not my head ache anymore ...


Yes, the show will end some day but when most of us feel that ending it now is premature we'll fight to save it. That's exactly what's happening here. Everybody here is mature enough to know how much of their time and energy to invest.

i guess !!! i was just stating an eventuality .. and each person has his or her perception of right time for things .. i personally dont want it to like end tomorrow or something, but just think whenever it ends it should end gracefully, i am not going to pro actively go forward and try and save the show and create problems for the PH or the channel cos i dont know whats happening on the other side of the hill...


Its completely your choice if you want to walk out now but please do not wish for a show's end because there are many here who are not yet ready to part with it and believe in its potential...😊
