The opening scene is where we see the family listening to Ayush, and Sonakshi and Rohini supporting him, and Kaka is taken up the offer of Ayush, but his brother does not give him hope, and against Kaka's wishes, asks for more time to consider his proposal. As he walks out, we are shown, him crossing Sonakshi's path, where both exchange glances of conspiratorial connivance between them,
to give the viewer some indication of what is in store. Shyamal is disappointed, but Vibha feels that her husband is right, and Akruti should be consulted, before going ahead. They go to seek her views. Akruti does not seem to buy the story, and they are surprised. Rohini as usual, tries to persuade her. One wonders if she is hand in glove with Sonakshi.
In Daksh's room, he is alone sitting on a chair, and resting this hands on the table, and thinking of what he is going through. Sonakshi has determined to get Naina out of his life, and we see how parental influence works in different ways, even if they are real sisters, born of two different men. Diwakar, was a nice human being, with lot of compassion, and his genes have come to Naina, and Sonakshi has got the genes of Lawyer Joshi, conning and conniving man. He has pampered his daughter, who has grown up getting everything that she wanted, and now she is out to ruin people's lives. She comes to Daksh with a glass of juice, which he refuses to drink, and he tries to walk away from her. She tries to put on a sad face, to win him over, but his suspicions of her grow, and he looks at her with eyes filled with disgust. When Daksh does not drink the juice, she takes up the glass and drinks, and Daksh watches her how she uses her hands. There does not seem to be any pain felt by this scheming girl. Sonakshi leaves Daksh and goes to Naina's room, where she has been living.
Downstairs, a courier comes with a wedding saree for Sonakshi Patwardan, and Naina goes to attend to him, and tells him, that she is Sonakshi Joshi, but Vibha the gullible mother comes swaying her arms, and with her slanting head, and sweet smile, tells Naina, that she is already a Patwardan, being the future daughter in law. She tells Naina to hand over the parcel to Sonakshi. Naina with a dazed look, takes it, and goes up to the room, and on the way, Daksh with a red file, walks down, and passes by her, to go to do his work. He sits down to have his breakfast. Naina goes to her room to see Sonakshi. Sonakshi welcomes Naina into her room, and says there is no need to take permission, as it is her own room. Naina hands over the parcel to her, and she opens it and takes out the saree, which Naina looks with a surprise look. In the meantime, the ubiquitous Rohini arrives into the room, seeing the rare sight of these two girls in the room. Sonakshi sends word to Daksh through Rohini that she wants to see him, and his mother forces him to go to her. He tells that he wants to tell her something, and as usual, his mother's priorities and lopsided, and in a disgust, he goes up.
As he enters the room, he is astonished to look at Naina dressed up in Sonakshi's wedding saree. He does not understand what Sonakshi has cooked up this time, as Naina seems to have obliged Sonakshi without a fight. Is she going nuts, or is she also playing for time, one never gets to know by seeing her behavior. Sonakshi tells them with a cranky tone, that she has no more hopes of wearing this saree, so she has given it to the one who deserves it, but Daksh does not appear to buy her game. He stares at Sonakshi and asks her directly what she is up to. Standing in a corner, she topples a glass vaze with flowers from its pedestal, and it shatters into pieces, and Naina the compassionate, rushes to the side of Sonakshi, as if she believes that she needs her help, and has tripped the vaze out of physical weakness, and she guides her to the bed to take her rest, and hearing the noise the soft hearted Vibha rushes into the room, and is inquires about Sonakshi, as to how she is. Her eyes fall on Naina, and she is stunned to see her dressed in Sonakshi's saree, and can not understand how she could have worn it, in front of her future daughter in law on whom she has lavished so much praise, love and care. The viewers are given a rare glimpse into the workings of the mind of
someone, who can be led into this path, by her own parents. As usual, the moneyed rich people, have little time for their kids, who compete with their precious time needed to amass their wealth.
In the pre-cap, Daksh sees from a small opening in the door into the room where Sonakshi has changed into a new set of clothes, and is arranging the sling of her plastered hand, as if nothing is wrong, and she feels no pain. Daksh's suspicions seem to be re-enforced.
