Written Update:18th August: Laxmi humiliated

Kaaveri & Dadi have joined Dadaji, Angad, Mahen & Uttang for carrom, when Uttang suggests they all go somewhere out. Dadaji suggests going to Goa, when Angad requests him to plan something for a family vacation. He then proposes Vaishno Devi & this time Mahen objects. Shobna comes & says why are you arguing, let Laxmi decide. Everyone looks at Laxmi expectantly when Vijay comes with bad news that their international customers are quite angry with them as the consignments werent despatched timely. He lets Dadaji know that they will be coming to Mumbai to discuss matters. He expresses concern over who will deal with them in Harsukh's absence. Kaaveri requests Vijay to talk to them. Vijay smirks that he will not interfere in Harsukh's business as he never liked it which is why the POA was handed to Laxmi. Kaaveri then recommends Angad talk to them. Angad & Vijay are taken aback. Angad tries to refuse but Dadaji tries convincing him that he is an MBA degree holder & Shobna adds that Laxmi will help him out as she herself used to prepare the masalas in Dharigram. (For people who started on this serial late like moa, Harsukh has a masala business!! Even I came to know today!!!😆) Angad is skeptical given the shortage of time, when Shobna recommends Laxmi accompanying Angad to the meeting. Angad think this could be a chance for pacifying Vijay. Vijay storms off when Kaaveri goes to Laxmi & encourages her. Mahen also asks Laxmi to prove to everyone that he has taught her well. Dadaji suggests they all ask Angad first if he he ready for all this. He agrees to it if Laxmi is by his side.

Shobna smiles& walks away when Tej who has heard the interchange from upstairs, compliments her acting skills. Shobna basks in it & says it's the beginning & soon she will create differences between AnXmi. She is waiting for Laxmi to falter in the meeting tomorrow as then Angad will realise his mistake in marrying to someone not at par with him. Tej pretends to be impressed.

Angad is memorising the names & characteristics of the spices including their hindi names. (Weird... he didn't know about cardamoms & cloves though...that's something you would learn in year 4 or 5 as far as I remember😕) Laxmi observes Angad's parade up & down the room. Angad comments on how peculiar daalchini(cinnamon) sounds. Laxmi smiles. Angad is exasperated & then sees Laxmi staring at her. He whinges about that too which makes Laxmi sit up. He carries on about how he hates memorising things & then shares his poor chemistry grades with Laxmi as he could never remember the periodic tables or equations. Laxmi obviously doesn't know what is equation & tries saying it aloud. Angad tells her the hindi word for it...osamikaran (Wuhooo!! I Learnt something too!!)He then sees her worried expression & asks her to quit worrying. He then confides in her that he is nervous too & says it makes him talk gibberish nonstop. He pulls a sad face, looks at Laxmi & both of them burst into laughter.

Next day morning, both AnXmi come down dressed up. (Hmm...is it just me or does anyone else thinks Angad's wardrobe needs to be touched up?? Hate his ill-fitted blue suit paired with blue shirt'but I could be wrong'so well ignore my ramblings people!!) The expected people are there. Shobna comes in front of them & Laxmi seeks her blessings. Shobna blesses her & encourages her further when Laxmi expresses her doubt. Dadaji asks them to go asap. Mahen asks her to to be confident. Dadi comments that Laxmi is confident & they all are confident of Laxmi. Shobna gets yogurt & sugar (an old custom) for her favourite bahu & reprimands Angad who tries to come in between her spoonful & Laxmi. Angad looks at her with mock anger. Laxmi has the spoonful, then Shobna offers it to Angad. Tej who is observing all this from afar wonders that a lamb is fattened similarly before being sacrificed. He reflects if all MILs become like her, then all DILs will have to be halal-ed. Angad pouts that his importance has gone down after his marriage as everyone showers love to Laxmi only. Kaaveri says that's not true as everyone loves him a lot.

AnXmi enter the meeting room hand in hand. There are 3 more people there. Laxmi is already nervous when Angad asks her to chair the meeting. She refuses & finally Angad sits at the head. Angad introduces himself & Laxmi & says he is there on Harsukh's behalf. He asks how can he help the visitors. One of the trio expresses his displeasure at the late delivery while the other criticises the quality which they received. Laxmi smells the samples provided while Angad is trying to determine what could be wrong. Laxmi goes to Angad & agrees with the complaint that the spices lack aroma. Angad apologises & tries to assure them it wont happen in future. The foreigner rubbishes it off. Angad presses for another chance but the guy is in no mood to comply. He mentions that he suffered a huge loss because of the poor quality of spices. Just then Angad's phone rings, & he gets distracted. Mr. Shaun, the foreigner says he'll give them a chance if they can guarantee quality of future consignments. Laxmi chips in, providing the needed guarantee. All are stunned, don't think the Indian pretending to be a foreigner understood that much hindi. Laxmi tries to reiterate the guarantee in English, but her English is all broken. Mr Shaun remarks that they now have to deal with uneducated people (what a 🤬 prick!!) Angad signals Laxmi to quieten up whilst Mr Shaun continues with his rant against Indians, calling them thieves!! (😡 I thought I couldn't hate anyone more that Tej...guess I was wrong!!) Laxmi cant take it in. She again tries to tell him in broken English that her husband is well educated & they are in a family business, but Mr Shaun is on a roll. He cant stand having to deal with uneducated & theiving Indians. Laxmi is angry & stands up & asks him to talk properly in hindi. She gives her 2 cents worth & even adds that he has come to them for work, not the other way round. Angad is getting annoyed with her & angrily asks her to sit down, but continues,adding that they sell their products not self respect. Mr Shaun comments that they have a lot of unnecessary self respect (huh???😲 What a lowly person!!!🤢) & doesn't want future business with them. Angad tries to stall them & wants to work things out, but they walk out. He is furious with Laxmi & lets her displeasure known. Laxmi says that she didn't do anything wrong as they were degrading their country & their family. She says she did try to pacify them. She asks him to let it go as they will get more clients. Angad is really angry & says that the whole scene is going to repeat again & you will then close business for good. He questions her business knowledge. He reasons with her that the person who bears loss is justified to be angry. He starts walking away when Laxmi quietly says that people everywhere are not the same. She compares it to Dharigram when Angad turns around & says this isnt Dharigram. He emphasises the importance of profit & says since they were in the wrong, how would it have mattered if she would have heard them quietly. Laxmi says that he was humiliating her & rest of the Indians. Angad doesn't see her logic. He sits on the chair,takes a deep breath & says what wrong did they say? If Mahen has taught her few English words, it doesn't make her educated. If he has taught her some dressing sense, it doesn't mean she has become smart. He stresses that according to the international standards she is still uneducated. Laxmi is crying. Angad says that you came to help me but you ruined my first project. He then tries to give his logic that one needs to be diplomatic in business, not emotional. He adds that if she was slightly educated, she would have understood all this. He packs his laptop & leaves. Laxmi is really broken.

Precap: Shobna is telling an angry Angad that its all her fault. How could she forgot that Laxmi is a simple girl from a small village. 😡 Mahen in his room (he had a haircut!!!) is explaining to a crying Laxmi that what she did was correct & she shouldn't be disheartened.
