The silence from Seema's critics (about her last performance) is deafening, really.
I don't think Varsha - Dabulls - was comparing Nihira or anyone to Lata M. what she was trying to show us was another versatile singer namely Nihira - who's rendition of this particular song is noteworthy.
If you will notice in the video, at one point, she is getting irritated with the musician at the back because it's drowning her voice - I'm not saying the musician is in the wrong - since it looks like a major concert - but her dedication of wanting to get it perfect shows on her face even if it means waving at the musician in front of hundreds of people sitting there.
This is one song that everyone likes to sing - even a besura wants to try it out because the lyrics are such that it touches our heart and the tune is very humbling.
