Angad gifts Laxmi a saree which apparently Shobna had kept for her future bahu but Angad & his smart mouth had wrangled it off her so that he could gift it to his future bride himself. (lol!!! Lazy bones…didn't want to shop for gifts or on second thoughts,he already knew thathis bride wouldn't meet his mom's approval??!!)He says whatever happens, happens for the best. Laxmi worries about Shobna's reaction(I still cant stomach her calling Shobna ma..!!yipes!!)Angad explains that she might be angry, but didn't you say let her pour her anger out? He however adds that deep down she will be happy that her son at least fulfilled 1 wish of hers. He asks her to get ready quick & join the kitchen crew as she is no longer the daughter of the family. Laxmi smiles & goes to get ready. Angad heaves a sigh & leaves too.
Laxmi is in front of the mirror getting ready(the reshmi kyu bg score starts…its really beautiful!!) She puts sindoor & sees Angad in the mirror & he singals that the way she is wearing th saree (seedha palla we call it) doesn't seem to look good, he further signals her to wear it the modern way (ulta palla). She smiles. She changes the way she's wearing it & hopes he at least sees her since she has complied with his wishes. (ok…but I was hugely distracted by her transfer glitter henna …its quite big & well…I somehow didn't notice it since Maha epi…did anyone else notice it?)She is stopped by Dadi & Dadaji on a swing who ask her who is she looking for. Dadaji is amused as she makes excuses & rushes off. Dadi asks Dadaji why is he smirking. Dadaji explains that she should have understood that Laxmi is looking for Angad as she has dressed differently. He reminds her of her days & dadi is embarrassed. Angad comes down…probably out of the house, where Mahen is tending to the plants. Angad compliments Mahen's gardening skills and says that it's a hard job. Mahen agrees but says that when these plants grow up they give happiness. He also adds that when the plants move between stages, they are at their sensitive best, just like humans. Laxmi now comes across Kaaveri & Raandal in the kitchen. Kaaveri compliments her & on seeing her wandering eyes, comments that Angad is helping Mahen gardening. She is taken aback. Kaaveri laughs that now go since I've told you whereabouts of the person you were looking for. Laxmi leaves. She sees Angad & straightens her hair. Mahen sees her & calls her out. Laxmi models in front of Angad & he looks her up stunned. Then asks her whether she had some work. She stammers she got tea for him. Mahen looks around, whilst Angad asks her where is it? She realises her folly!!lol…she says she was going to make it & wants to know if they want some too. Angad agrees & questions Mahen. Mahen agrees & intuitively asks Angad how is Laxmi looking. Angad says good, beautiful in a matter of fact voice & gets back to his work. Laxmi is happy.. could have been happier if u ask me.Mahen gifts her a hibiscus flower & says its from Angad.Angad looks at Laxmi & I cant understand that look…seriously! 😕A happy Laxmi repeats she is getting the tea.
As she is preparing the tea, she strokes the flower lovingly. Kaaveri & Raandal walk in. Kaaveri asks whether she met Angad. Laxmi asks her to quit working as now she is a DIL. Kaaveri agrees & reminds her that she should prepare good dishes today as its her first day in the kitchen as Angad's wife.Just then the maid Sevanti comes grumbling about how difficult it is for her to work in this household. On further enquiry she blabbers, that the outside world is talking about Purohits & wondering how they forgave Laxmi, whilst at home so many people are angry. Raandal asks her to quieten down otherwise Shobna will hear. Sevanti says she aint scared of the devil duos…aka Shobna & Vijay. 😆Just then they spot Shobna at the foot of the stairs, hearing the exchange. Sevanti makes a face & goes. Laxmi thinks that so what if Shobna is angry, she needs to take her blessings!! (God…😲 even a kid wudnt go there…whats wrong with this mahaan aatma??)Laxmi & Shobna approach each other. Shobna is shocked & Laxmi smiling. Laxmi bends to take blessings, but Shobna leaves her ugly heels & moves down!!Laxmi touches the slippers & puts her hands to her eyes. Angad has come in & seen this happening. Shobna says that in her eyes, that is Laxmi's place. As expected, she taunts her about the saree & says that remember that you can never be my DIL. She goes & takes water from a bucket. Stops, gives dirty looks to Kaaveri & pours the water on her sandals. Then she steps into them & walks away. Obviously Angad didn't like it. But him & his irrevocable sense of humour!!!! He pulls out a Rajesh Khanna like stunt…pushpa…I hate tears re…!!lol..!!🤣
Laxmi wipes her tears & he comes & wipes them too. 😳 He says that crying doesn't solve anything. They need to face the situation with courage & patience. He is positive that his Pushpa is going to light candles of love in the hearts of their enemies( that was kinda like the literal translation…it was funny...filmy!!) She & Kaaveri in the background smile. AnXmi just look at each other.
Laxmi ponders in front of the mirror what she should do to remove the stress between the mom-son… (Gosh…now who will explain the real world to this nave creature??) Angad gets a glass of hot milk for Laxmi, saying why should wives only serve their husbands. Laxmi is objecting & they kind of bump into each other, whereby the milk spills on Laxmi's hand & she screams. The milk is hot & Angad is sweet. He says if it is hot, then let it cool down. She wants to know what he means. He explains that his mom is much more hotter(read angrier) than the milk & more dangerous. Let her cool down & then try to build bridges. She takes the tray & keeps it on the table saying that if one keeps on touching hot milk, then hot doesn't feel hot any more. Angad is exasperated that he is talking about head & she is talking about hearts. He asks her to use both next time. Laxmi says that when talking about mothers, heads don't work. If she cant capture Shobna's heart, then no matter how much she tries, its useless. Angad just leans back & sighs. Laxmi says she should return the saari to Shobna & when she herself asks Laxmi to don it, she will wear it. Angad doesn't want to get involved anymore it seems coz he says anyways, he needs to go out for some work & takes his bag & leaves. (I'm sure that by evening, we'll have a whole new Mahabharat played by Shobna!🤢!)
Tej goads Shobna to take action asap & separate AnXmi. Laxmi arrives with the saree & tells Shobna that she wore a saree which she had lovingly kept aside for her bahu…so she is returning it & will wear it only when Shobna gives it to her with love. She keeps the saree, apologises & turns to leave. Shobna recalls Laxmi's words, picks up the saree, gives one end to Tej & cuts it with scissors. Laxmi watches aghast.
Shobna takes the cut pc of the saree & throws it at Laxmi's face. She sneers that hopefully Laxmi's desire of getting the saree from her is fulfilled. She then insults her further by asking her to stop all the drama as she will never accept her as her DIL. Laxmi is hurt. Shobna leaves. Tej smirks, goes & picks up the saree pc thrown at Laxmi. He jabs at the fact that Shobna broke her heart & tsks that she shouldn't have done this. He says that once he had heard that Dushyasan did Draupadi's cheer-haran, here her MIL did the needful!!( I dont think i can swear here...but do u guys get the idea how repulsive he is!!!🤬) He tactlessly drapes the cut pc on her. Laxmi just removes it & looks at him pointedly. He points at the rest of the saree & goes.
Precap: Laxmi takes a cup of tea to Shobna, who is standing the aangan & most of the family members are around. Angad has probably just returned from work & is observing all this. Shobna takes the cup & pours hot tea of Laxmi's hand who jumps up. Angad walks up & pours some hot tea on his own hand & Shobna jumps up at what he's done! He says good at least this way she knows how much it hurts to see your own hurting!!
