Anchor kyon? Rakshanda, who has been in the business for years, says, "Anchoring is a niche area; not everyone can wake up and become an anchor. Spontaneity and vivaciousness are the key requirements of the job."
Paisa bolta hai: "Of course, top-of-the line anchors get paid handsomely. Also, the number of days required for anchoring are less than those for a normal TV schedule."

Anchor kyon? I started off as an anchor, and it's something I have always been fond of. However, one needs to be well-read, have a good command over the language, and be alert. The best part about anchoring is that it gives you a chance to be yourself.

Anchor kyon? For me, anchoring is where you make the contestant feel like a hero. It is difficult to give the limelight to someone else, but that's the mantra. Acting is where you deliver, and anchoring is where you make the other person deliver.
Paisa bolta hai: For me, money has never been a benchmark to judge the merits of anything that I take up.

Anchor kyon? I chose to be an anchor because it lets me be myself. One has to be an extrovert and extremely intuitive to take on hosting a show. There are no rehearsals and no retakes — the camera shows everything you say or do.
Paisa bolta hai: Yes, anchoring pays way more than acting. Also, the time you spend as an anchor is less than you would on a daily show. I shoot five episodes for Cinemascope in one day. But acting gives you a different high; there's more emotion.
