Aarakshan team denied permission to go to UP is on all news channels

Last Friday tracking of the film jumped by 8 points...promotions have only started since..

I think the film will do well..This year the cut off in Delhi universities was 100% for merit students..this caused outrage in the media..

The promos are not that wud grab ones attention. Music is weak. the genre is different(not regular masala or romcoms) which will not appeal to da masses except dat if it is very brilliantly made

^ yup. Students, Raajneeti-fanatics and people just wanting to see a good story will go see it. I'm definitley watching it, but i'm also on the boat that found Rajneeti to be only 'okay'. It wasn't mind blowing or anything

Didn't find Raajneeti mindblowing either, there have been much better political dramas before

Aarakshan's topic is really unique though, if I'm not mistaken, it belongs to the same family as Gulaal (correct me if i'm wrong, haven't entirely watched Gulaal)

but I remember a lot of word-of-mouth appreciation for Gulaal and it's sheer reality.

If Prakash Jha managed to show gritty reality in Aarakshan, I'm sure the movie will garner a great amount of appreciation

but box office-wise.. bhool hi ja =/
