1. Buy or procure a funky dress from your wardrobe. Decide on your look beforehand, and go shopping or look in your wardrobe. For the Murder 2 success party, I went shopping for my shiny golden dress. I fell in love with it at first sight, and had to buy it. It is OK to repeat clothes. Be comfortable in your dress. You don't want to keep fidgeting with it.

2. Wear sexy heels or elaborate flats. Whatever you wear, be comfortable, because you either have to stand for hours or dance. You will sit too, but you will stand for longer hours, so wear comfortable shoes.

3. Tie your hair or leave it loose. It is okay if you don't do your hair. It will get messed up when you dance, anyway! Do your make-up according to your dress. A loud dress means muted make-up and vice versa.

4. Relax and set your mind on having fun. You can choose to drink or not drink, but stay within limits. Talk to the people you know and remember their names. It is OK to reach a party late. Excuse yourself if somebody makes you uncomfortable.

5. Indulge in eating your favourite foods and eat early. Eating late is bad for health. Keep eating a little throughout the party. Be crazy and do crazy things, but be decent at the same time. Focus on laughing, dancing, and enjoying yourself, and make other people do the same too.
