Raman is not worth protecting..But Dushy will bow down to wishes of his own mother and he will always think na that once he was also the one who was not worth protecting, but he was protected...he got a second chance...I think that is why may be he is into giving second chances too.
And moreover, he knows revealing Raman's secret would again mean immersing the whole household into those dark days of guilt and shame...
And I think deep down he does feel guilty of not letting his brother win in the Sarpanch elections..and may be thinks that Ramu did this in the 'grief' of losing the elections...

You have given a valid point about giving second chance to Raman knowing he himself got second chance in life to straighten his ways.
Dushyant may be hooligan at old time, he had good heart inside indicates that he can change to better man of today. However this is not the case with Raman. Raman will not appreciate this second chance to change himself into better man as he never had good heart to begin with. He had only one passion that is money and so he has dig grave himself and now for his brother by gambling.
But Dushyant knows that Raman is in team with their worst enemy Durgesh, yet saves his life at mothers' plight, he will still be digging grave for himself.

Very nice post. I agree that Dushyant has done many things in the past but Gulaal's goodness somehow managed to make him realise that he was wrong and after that his repentance has been genuine. As for Raman he has always put money before relationships. And if D covers up for him it will only encourage him to continue the same way.Actually Jamna is totally wrong to ask D to cover up for him. And if D pays the money without telling MB then he will later on be in the wrong. How will he account for such a big amount and what about his position as Sarpanch! I feel very sorry for D at this point of time.
