Hey Giny - nuf said here on our debate thread already, but in reference to the line you say above, I'd like to say that's what reform has changed about Dushyant. He has become the human, Gulaal once was to him - when he was not worth protecting. I'm not saying Raman will find his reason to change or improve - for Dushyant, Gulaal was always going to be the reason - to be the worst and the best. But that was not Gulal's reason to protect him. Her reason was the family's welfare, to stay knit as a unit, and keep everyone under that one roof. She never truly forgave him, but she did protect him, and gave him a chance to change and improve...The tables have turned and Dushyan is doing the same. He may not forgive Raman - but he's protecting him, for his mother, and for the family name. He's taking care of the mess at his own level, in the most sensible way there can be... not because Raman is his brother and should be sheltered and encouraged to indulge in more wrong... but because this reformed Dushyant believes in not dealing wrong with wrong back. Unfortunately, he's going to get caught in the net himself, with Kesar misunderstanding, it seems - but that doesn't change his intention. Its the way Gulaal was misunderstood by Kesar once too... I hope the confusion will clear enough for K-D to bond and solve this family crisis!
