Female SUPERSTAR after Madz/Sri-Kat or Bebo?

In most of the magazines and tv reports,it has been highlighted that Madz and Sridevi were the last superstars of bollywood.It is a common belief after their era no actresses had the same star power of popularity to be called as queens of bolly.Like in case of actors where Khans were the succesors to superstardom which belonged to AB.There were many popular actresses like Karisma,Kajol,Rani who came later but none could ever match the star power of Sri/Madz.They were never paid the same amount as remuneration as the Khans (like Sri) or could single handedly draw crowds into the theatres.Many show promise and latter fizzled out due to some reasons.

But now after yrs there are 2 top contenders for the iconic status.Katrina is the most bankable star right now in Bolly.has many hits and ATBB to her credit.Directors and actors are dieing to work with her.Guys went crazy over her skj like in the past madhuri did with her ek do teen.I know Kat isnt a good dancer like Mads or Sri but thing is inspite of her skills popularity has reached sky.Then ofcourse winning all polls for sexiest looking,most beautiful actress ever

Kareena on the other hand is an industry favourite and also THE best actress on tinsel town right now.Unlike Kat she has won numerous awards and praises for her acting talent.She may have less number of hits compared to KAT but still better success ratio compared to her contemporories.Geet is iconic.She is one of the best looking actress also hails from the first family of bolly.Now she has bagged coveted project like heroine and movies with all khans.

So what do u think ,who will be remebered after 20 yrs as the superstar? For me its a tie -Katrina is a bigger star but Kareena is a better actress!..

In future there is minor chance cuz bolly is going through a transformation and like HW there may be no male or female superstars

HOLLYWOOD Never need a superstar...they have the GREAT VISUAL EFFECTS...they mostly hire actors from television and make them superstars...in fantastic four...all actors were from TV except jessica alba who shot to fame with sin city before it...but even she used to do TV.

coming to topic...i think comparing KAT-BEBO to MADHURI/SRIDEVI is basless becoz madz and sri could take films on their own...and could make them hits too...remember a stupid film like 'RAJA' became a hit just becoz of madhuri and a wacko 'chaalbaaz' was a hit just becoz of sri..

has kat done tht sort of movie...i dont think so...she carries the credit with her heroes...although KAREENA got it from JMW...but they forget it was the magic of the movie tht made film a hit and not just her...the movie was itself very good...

these two have to work really hard to first get it there...

A crappy movie like Tees maar Khan got the hugee opening even bigger than dabaang mainly due to Kat's starpower.Guys went berserk seeing Sheela ki jawaani and first day collections were very high.New york well the movie was good but it never had big names enough to make it a hit-John,Neil and even director Kabir khan were not succesful before.It was solely due to Kat star power and decent script the movie became a hit.I think she gave first superhit to Ranbir by APKGK..The movie was thrash only factor that worked for is Ran-Kat chemistry.Again Rajneeti inspite of having huge star cast maximum importance was given to Katrina and her jodi with Ranbir during promotions.movies with Serious themes like those never manage such collections.But rajneeti became a blockbuster. Now ZNMD has become a hit.Katrina's star power played a huge role there also since Hrithik's career was not on the high after giving 2 colossal flops like Guzaarish,Kites

^even before sheila ki jawani came on TV...ppl already said ht TEES MAAR KHAN will get a good opening...its just the way of perception..

i think Madhuri and Sridevi are the last superstars who could act, dance and were extremely popular! no one will have that combination again and definitely not at that level!

who has the charma or being an era owner like madz and sri..

they were so appealing to people.



if I have to pick some one has that connect currently, it's katrina. But she is not close to people and she doesnt have that charisma. But cinematic ally this girl has some thing, thats why she sustains.

I say Katrina. Most of her films are hits. Yeah I know she is not an actress like maduri or sri...but they are also not legends in terms of acting talent.

I don't think they are anywhere close compared to Madz/Sri.

But to the topic, Katrina would be considered because of the hits.
And Kareena because she is "the" girl right now.
And i would even consider Priyanka.
But we all know...Kareena and Priyanka are because of a-c-t-i-n-g. Where Katrina is not.

Neither of them are close to Madhuri, but between Katrina and Kareena id pick Kareena. She can actually act and i think she is a bigger star then katrina. id be more excited to meet kareena then katrina, seems like katrina doesnt have much of a personality offscreen and on.
