Nirmitee group - Ruining classic songs!

They killed one of my favorite classic songs (Sawan Ka Mahina). I was so disappointed! And can't believe the judges liked it. Yeah I get they were trying to sing it in their style, but it didn't work for me at all. They also killed the song "Choli Ke Peecha Kya Hai" and many other songs.

Like if you listen to the original and then their version you'll know what I'm talking about...

You can still make the song your own and different from the original without killing it. This group disappoints me. And what disappoints me more is that the judges are in their favor. I'm sorry, but they made such a beautiful song into a horrific mess!

😃I am a big fan of the classic songs and singers esp Mukesh.

Aaj kal ke gaane itne mare hue hai, woh gaane ko nirmitee bhi jaan nahi de sakte.

Nirmeeti grp is using harmonizing in their singing. It works and sounds good upto a limit. I don't care when they butcher an old classic be it a good or a bad song.

NIRMITEE grp is knwn fr thier innovation... nd basically thts thier X factor... wht if lyk Rest evn they sing the same...typical bollywd songs...* besides... its not thier choice to pick up songs n sing.. the composers..arrangers n evry1.. gves thm the list...
Instead of looking faults in songs... dude.. chk thier capapbility of involving into the songs...n mkn thm in thier own way... thier creativity!!!!!
Agree some perfromnces wrnt upto mark.. bt tht doesnt mean they r lyk ruining smethng... Its jst thier Version of songs...!!!!
& besdies.. in today's times... knwoledgable musicians & composers do Ruin the old clasics tooo by creating a new version.. remixes n ol..!!!!

Nirmitee group is very unique in their style.. They always come up with these new things tht seem to work and please the audience..

I'm sorry, but I beg to differ from most of you! This group was NEVER appealing to me. I honestly don't know what the judges saw in them to pick them! But I guess they knew what they were doing. But once given the opportunity you should make the best out of it. Which in my honest opinion I don't think this group is doing. I respect everyone who posted here's opinion. You all have a right to express your opinion. I don't expect anyone to agree with me. But I expressed what I felt. When they initially started singing the song "Sawan Ka Mahina" I thought it was perfect. I thought this is going to be one of the best performances on the show! But their rendition just go worse from there (in my opinion). I've heard MANY people sing this song. They didn't copy the original and made it their own. The way this group made the song their simply didn't work for me. Its not entire Nirmitee's group's fault. Sanjay sir also has a hand in it. Now in comparison to all 3 judges I am NO ONE to judge these singers. NO ONE! But if I don't like their singing, I will express my views and JUSTIFY why I didn't like it or why I loved it. This group as a whole just isn't working for me. Sure they do have the X factor because if they didn't they wouldn't have lasted this long. But now coming this far they really need to step up their game because they have some tough tough competitors!!

I'm sorry but I disagree with the topic maker. Nirmitee are very talented. It's very difficult to make a song your own. Most singers to make it there own add a few runs or I guess in India Harkat or w/e but these guys truly remix it and very well too.

Like Chod to anchal, the carribbean, afro-latin stuff the added to it was genius. Or in Saathiya adding the tamil. I think they didn't harmonzie well for sawan ka mahin but iyou could still see what they were doing. Hal kasia hai janab ka, adding a blues effect to it. and spicing up a prayer. I could go on.

I think some people who are sole fans on Indian music might not get it because they are not use to that. Western music before it went all techno you had boys II men heck even backstreet boys that would harmonize. Its very hard to do in Indian songs as sherya pointed out. That is why the judges love nimirtee. They just pep up old song for the new gen but in a respectful way.

Finally Sawana ka mahin is one of my fav songs too and I can put Nirmitees performance on repeat. I loved it.
