Your first memory of a Bollywood song?
Is border 2 really the kind of success its being made to be?

I think it's sad that people don't know these songs. These are some of the classics. I'm in my 20s, and a singer, and my aspiration is to sing such songs. There's no great "X Factor" in singing songs which are recent - there's no comparison in judging a "Oh Sajna Barkha Bahar Aayi" versus some modern song like the "Jalebi Bai"s and "Sheila"s of the world.
As a singer, I'm proud of the fact that the X factor people select songs which are genuinely worth singing and make you feel inspired to sing them as well. X Factor is not gimmicky like Indian Idol, neither are the judges more interested in themselves and their own antics more than the songs and the music. Maybe that's why the TRPs for X Factor are low - speaks volumes about the quality of music appreciation in a country that has more than 20 kinds of music.
I'm sorry if you find this offensive or overly critical but I genuinely feel very strongly about this.
