Alright guys,
Here is the update..I must say I am quiet nervous so I hope that you guys enjoyed it 😳
Chapter 24
Although, Maan was with Geet physically, mentally he wasn't with her. A rush of guilt passes inside him like ocean waves whenever he looked at Geet. He often wondered what he did to deserve Geet. Was he worth it? but no matter what Maan knew that he cannot bring to forgive himself despite her saying she did. The wounds of his past mistakes does not leave him. No matter how many times he tried to maintain his distance from Geet, the more closer she got. He also knew that she is very stubborn and will not leave him or let him leave him at any cost. He watched in silence cleaning the house, he wanted to go up and kiss her and hug her with all his strength but couldn't.
After she was done, she came up to him with food. He quietly opened his mouth as Geet fed him, he didn't want to disappoint her by saying no. He also knew what was coming after dinner, she would put her head on his lap and hug him all night long as if to reassure that he won't leave her but today she didn't something that he didn't expect. She looked at him with a smile that reached all the way up to her eyes, this was a different smile, a smile that spoke mischievousness. She held his arm and led him, quietly, to the bedroom without taking her eyes off of him. She placed him on the bed and walked back a little with a smile, while Maan looked at her with confusion.
Geet turned around and turns her face sideways looking at him from the corner of her eyes, smiling. Slowly, she slides off her dupatta, with her back still toward him, Maan wanted to look away but was unable to. He watched her as she starts taking off her suit, he gets up and walks to the door only to be stopped by Geet. He looks at her as she shakes her head no, slowly she brings him back again to the bed and makes him sit. She stands in front of him and holds his both hands. Slowly, she places her hand on her waist, Maan wanted to take his hand away but it only made her hold him tighter. He lets her guide his hands. She starts brings her hands up toward her chest, Maan head shots up to her face, who had her eyes closed feeling his touch after all these years.
She leans closer to Maan causing him lean back in defense, until Maan's back touched the bed while Geet leans sits on top of his stomach. She lets go of her hands and opens her eyes, while Maan closes his eyes in pain. She unhooks her bra and throws it on the floor and takes Maan's hands again, happy that he is no longer resisting, she places his hands on top of her curves, Maan's eyes shot open after feeling the breasts in his hands. She smiles at him and lets of his hands, and leans toward Maan and kisses him on his cheek "Won't you love me like you used to?" she whsiperes in his ears. Maan sheds silent tears as he looks at his side, he feels her kissing his tears away "lets start new forgetting our past...love me Maan..please" She hugs him around his neck and cries on his shoulders. "I need you as much as you need me..love me..." Unable to take her tears and hurt in her voice...he slowly brings her around so that he was on top of her. Geet closes her eyes and starts to breath heavily, when she felt him playing with her curves. He traces his one hand on her face, as if recognizing her, she opens up her eyes and looks into his hesitant face.
"Its ok, you won't hurt me, you would never" (She held on his arms for support as Maan continued to study her face)
"I don't know if I can trust myself" (He looks away..Geet turns his face toward her)
"I trust you."
She leans up and kisses him on his chin. She smiles and looks at Maan and lies back down. Maan slowly leans toward her and kisses her on her everywhere on her face. She hugs him from his neck and lets Maan take in charge. She knew that is what Maan needed to know he won't hurt her. She let him do whatever he wanted to do with her without a complain. Maan hands slowly move down to her stomach from her breasts, gently messaging her stomach, while still kissing her. He stops right there as his hands were about to go down. Geet looks at him and smiles in reassurance. Maan takes off all the clothes removing any barriers between them. He looked at her body from top to bottom. After few seconds, he enters inside. Both gasps as they felt each other, both in a way, felt alive again. Both felt their lost souls entering their bodies again after a long time. Maan smiled down at Geet and kisses her on her face "thank you for making me alive again" he hugs her as both move in rhythm. Maan and Geet both had found their happiness at last.

"Maan what are you thinking about?" (Ever since their encounter last night..Maan has been very quiet and to himself. He wouldn't even look at Geet or come near her, he would simply turn his head away.) "Maan please talk to me.."
"I shouldn't have..."
"Please Maan" (she cups his face) "I don't know how to make you understand but please forget everything...lets start new life?"
"I am scared" (Maan removes her hands and stands near the window..Geet comes and stands next to him. She notices that he is crying. Geet turns him toward her and removes his tears while shaking her head no.) "how can you Geet? How can you forgive me after what I have done?"
Geet sighs: "To tell you the truth...I don't have the answer to your question" (Maan looks at her with pain) "But I do know one thing..I love you...and being with you is all that matters for me"
"What if I hurt you again?"
"I know you won't...I trust you. Please don't distance yourself from me...it hurts to see you in this state"
"You know I fell in love with you the moment I first saw you. I still remember that moment like it was yesterday. You were reading a book at your dinning table while trying to eat your dinner at the same time. At that moment, I knew, I knew you were the one that can fulfill the void in my life. I wanted to make you mine no matter what and give you all the happiness you wished for but I didn't know that instead of happiness I would be giving you pain. The happiness that I should've given you, you found it in Suraj. Geet I don't know what happened last night but all I know is that it shouldn't have happened. You would be better off with Suraj. Why can't you understand?" (Geet looks at him with tearful eyes while Maan looks away) "Please don't look at me like that. It hurts to see you suffer because of me."
"If it hurts you so much then why are you making me suffer by going away from me?"
"I am doing what is best for you" (He stands far away from her...Geet runs and hugs him from the back... She hugs him tighter while Maan looks at the moon outside the window. Maan brings Geet forward when he felt his shirt dampen due to her tears. He makes her look at him and wipes her tears away and hugs her tight.)Both stand there, for what seemed like forever, feeling each other after so many years.
"You are the best thing that happened to me. Yes, I agree, it took time for both of us to understand what we really have but now that I understood I am not leaving you. If you go away from me then I will kill myself." (Maan puts his hand on her lips to silence her and shakes his head no. Geet cries and hugs him tight. Maan picks Geet up and brings her to the bedroom while both look at one another with new hope and ray of light. Geet hugs him tighter and places her head on his chest as he carries her...)

A week later!
A week later!
"Maan let go of me. I have work to do" (She screamed and laughed as Maan tickled her)
"No, not until you give me what I want" (He stops tickling her and looks down at her smiling. After that night, everything had changed for good. Old Maan was forever erased from their memories and now stood a new Maan, full of life and laughter. He was looking much healthier like he used to, which made Geet jealous most of the time whenever girls used to look at him. As a protective nature, she would hold him tighter by his arm, like a little girl, making sure to let the others know he belonged to only her. Now, both were happy in their world. He looks at her mangalsutre and sindoor, stating she belonged to him. Both got remarried the very next day. Although, it was a small ceremony they had everything and everyone they wanted. Geet forgave everyone as her father forgave Maan. Both were now settled in their small quiet life in Goa.)
"No, I told you not now" (she wriggles underneath him attempting to get out but Maan held both her hands and her body tight making sure she is fully trapped)
"You know I will get what I want..." (she looks at him knowing there would be no other way out)
"fine, what do you want?"
"you" (he kisses her on her face...) "I want you with me always 24/7 on this bed until I say so OR until you become pregnant" (Geet looks at him shocked while he smirks at her)
"What!..let go of me..."
"no" (he whispers in her ear) "We have a lot of catching up to do" (Geet blushes and covers her face with the spread...Maan pulls down the spread revealing her beautiful eyes...he begins kissing her slowly as the spread slowly reveals her face...) "i love you"
"I love you too"

One year later:
"Maan don't you have to go to work? Your company needs you.."
"Yeah but I need YOU" (he hugs her from the back while kissing her neck)
"Stop it...you know for the past two years you have become so shameful..not once have you left my side.." (Maan turns her around)
"That's not true..I left yourside when I went to work didn't I?"
"yeah then you would come home within two hours and work from home..but then again you don't get any work done becuase all you do is follow and harass me all day long...I don't know how you still have the company running"
"I have trustful employees, they will take care of the company, while I take care of you...You know Geet I am jealous of Rohit and Meera."
"Why?" (She looks at him confused)
"Because" (he kisses her on the lips then whispers in her ears) "they have three kids while we have none. That's not fair" (He looks at her blushing face with a smirk. He was about to lean in to kiss her when Geet pushes him off and runs off to hide)
"Geet! Where are you?...come out right now or else when I find you..I won't spare you..." He looks around the house frantically..."Alright, I will count to three...if you are not out by the end then god help you...1, 2, 3.." (He counted and looked everywhere...then he heard her laughing coming from behind the sofa...Maan smirks...) "Alright, I guess I will sit in one place until you decide to show yourself..lets see how long you hide from me Mrs.Khurana...I will go wait for you in the bedroom..." (Maan pretends to go to his room and hides in one corner...Geet comes out after couple of minutes and tip toes to her new hideout. As she was about to walk, Maan comes from behind and holds her hand...) "Now where are you going?"
"I have work to do...let go..."
"NO...now you have to pay me by having kids..A boy and a girl should be good..what do you think?." (He takes out her pallu...Geet turns around and hugs Maan to hide herself...Maan picks her up by her waist...and walks to the room...)
"I hate you...you are so stubborn..."
"And I love you..." (He kisses her on her cheek...)
I guess what the saying goes is true "You don't know what you have until its gone" which again proves again and again to everyone at some point in their lives. One should always appreciate what they have. Maan realized what Geet meant to him after loosing her love and support. Why don't we realize our mistake sooner before we lose that one special person? Although, both stayed away from each other with pain and suffering all these years; I would say their love has multiplied ten times more. Geet no longer had any fear in her eyes instead that fear was replaced by new hope of their future together and her endless love for Maan.
At the end, I would like to thank you guys for taking this (painful) journey with Maan and Geet. I hope this was not only an eye opener about marital abuse but also I hope you guys, in your own way, learned something from Maaneet. Marital abuse is a serious issue that still needs attention to those who are helpless and afriad to raise their voice against injustice. My intention in this fan fic was not to hurt anyone but simply raise this issue. Although, I know I deviated the story from the main issue of marital abuse; I just hope that I got my point accross. Not many get a happy ending like Geet in this fan fic but one can only HOPE that for many women out there it ends like Geet. Everyone deserves happiness in their lives and forgiveness, if asked with true heart, like Maan did. Rememeber, if more and more people stand against injustice as a TEAM, like everyone on Geet fourm comes together for Maaneet, justice can be served to those who truely deserves it.
And guys one more thing before you guys go ahead and read my new fan fic 😆
Whatsup with Geet's rating? How did it go to 2nd place? Guys come on we can't let Geet fail...I know there are so many topics on Geet's forum regarding this and I just personally want to say come on guys lets bring Geet back to number 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hit the chaska meeter 10,20,30 or until your fingers start to hurt, keep doing it until it is number 1 again. This is OUR favorite show. The show NEVER failed us before and directors ALWAYS took our suggestions into consideration so how can we fail our favorite show and the whole Geet team? Most importantly, how can we fail Gurmeet and Drashti? Both have worked so hard, worked overtime, ignored their health to give us the best chemisty I have seen so far on screen. It is a shame and disrespect to all of Geet's team including Gurti if we keep letting the rating fail like this.
It is disheartening and sad to see our favorite show going down the drain..why? because the story is not the way we want it to be? Really? Can we really call ourselves true fans of Geet? Is it necessary to fight among each other over small issues such as Gurmeet's tattoo or what have you? How can I write fan fics if we no longer have true fans of Geet?
So lets STOP fighting and bring back our show. Remember, the quote I stated above...we will ALL miss Geet if they take it out and will regret our actions.

P.S. I am not pointing any fingers at anyone in particular from the above statement. I just want everyone to work together as a team to bring back Geet to where it used to be. Sorry if I offended anyone in particular
