I think Anant's dad and his baba(though a little less due to wisdom that comes with age) are of the school of thought that thinking for yourself is a sign of rebellion...If u r a "good" boy you must (blindly) stand by your elders' decision bcoz daddy sab jaane(borrowing from awesome sauce's hilarious post in another thread)...In his eyes, if u start wanting something independently , its a sign of their loss of control- I dont think it matters what the actual issue is...Power plays,control and egoism...I'm the head of this house and don't you forget it...They forget that real obedience should come from love n respect, not fear n control...This is a subtle form of abuse - emotional abuse which became overt in that horrible scene where he shouts at Mohan 🤢- I still flinch when I think about it...This sort of attitude is so prevalent that noone thinks there's anything wrong in it (much)...I hope they address this difficult issue sometime in the upcoming track but I don't think anyone would dare to 😭...(btw did anyone see the excellent movie udaan?)... woah! enuff doom n gloom😊...most people do enjoy controlling stuff, whether even if its their cat or the remote!😆
