Dreams do they mean anything?

Funny that often dreams may hold a message or something. At times there is a psychic connection.
I once saw an old friend (whom I seldom contact) in a dream and he was smiling and said something to me. My first thought was that I hoped he had not left us. Upon dropping him an email he replied that he had just recovered from a serious bout of pneumonia.
There are of course the early morning spiritual dreams n visions and at times dreams are induced by overeating.
By visualizing we can create our own dreams too.😆

I dream about T-rexes and raptors a lot. Must mean that Jurassic Park is in the horizon. I also dream about tornadoes a lot, now don't blame Joplin on me.

There are certain dream types that are as real as if we are awake. It is in color and 3 D too. Watch out for those and it seems that we enter another dimension.

Thanks Summer... for my Fav! subject: Dreams!

<Edit!>

Dreams are the involuntary conjuring up of images, sounds, ideas and feelings as well as other sensations during sleep, they are your emotions! Many scientific like
Domhoff theory states that dreams do have meaning, and they are very revealing of what is on our minds. Freud theory states that dreams are related to wish fulfillment and Jung theory states that dreams revealed both the personal and collective unconscious. While Hall theory states that dream is a thought or sequence of thoughts that occurred during sleep, and that dream images are visual representations of personal conceptions.

It is possible to create your own dreams, as in stillness, you access a sense of inner peace and you have greater access to the infinite. Thus, you create in your dream state in the same way you create in your waking state. Your dreams are your creation and yet there is more freedom and flow in your dream state you would not experience in your waking state, because you do not believe you can experience in your waking state much of what you do in your dreams. You can experience all manner of things in your dream state because you hold no limiting beliefs about what is possible there.

~A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

e.g. Inception.

I feel, all our dreams have some or the other meaning. Most of the times our dreams are uncontrolled and unconnected with the so called state of 'reality'. But that need not mean they are non-existent or imagination. The more man's intelligence and concentration increases, the greater control does he exert upon his dreams and things began to make sense. For a highly evolved mind, dreams are as vivid and distinct as is reality and it is simultaneously conscious in both of these states. This also indicates the existence of infinite parallel universes and omnipresence of the human mind which in turn paves way towards the theory of Time Travel (though that's quite besides the point).

At times, we have a feeling that a particular incidence has happened before or that we have already known a person who is supposedly stranger, but we cannot, nor can anyone else, remember when or how that incidence or that meeting took place. We call it Deja Vu. May be in some parallel universe, our parallel self has already experienced that incidence ahead of us, and somehow, in a subconscious state our mind gets a glimpse of that experience. When this state of subconsciousness turns into full consciousness, through supreme meditation, the mind becomes omniscient and the human has complete knowledge of past, present and future.

Do u believe in reincarnation? Do u think that our dreams have something to do with our past lives?

Since I believe in infinity of self, evolution of mind and energy (against creation or destruction), and unity of soul, I do believe in reincarnation and I think dreams have everything to do with past, present and future lives. Its all a matter of relativity. To a subconscious mind these three lie on different planes and are sequential, but to a fully conscious mind, past, present and future are coplanar and simultaneous.

But yeah, I have no faith in that 5 minute hypnosis session of Raaz pichle janam ka. It takes years, often lifetime(s), for the most intelligent minds to master this self-consciousness. Induced hypnosis might cause a temporary out of the body experience, but certainly not past life regression.

Lion in your dream may mean lot of things, it may be symbols for people or situations that you would rather avoid, but they might also represent the lion inside you as you may fear losing your temper or you need to have the courage of a lion. The fact that you see the lion on the other side of the door is pretty interesting.
