The show started on such a strong note that I genuinely don’t understand how the creatives and writers let so many promising storylines go to waste. If their intention was to introduce a new cast, they should have committed to it properly. There was so much potential — the TuHir separation, Angad leaving the Virani house after marrying Vrinda and building his own identity, Munni becoming successful, Ritik pursuing music and eventually crossing paths again. Pari gradually uncovering Ranvijay’s truth and reconnecting with Ajay. All of this could have been explored without even needing a leap.
Tulsi building her own business or supporting Angad in creating a company that competes with Virani Industries would have been such a strong and meaningful track.
Even if they were determined to take a leap, there was still room to develop everyone’s individual journeys. Instead, they introduced too many characters too quickly, making everything feel chaotic. No one is getting enough screen space to truly connect with the audience.
I understand that the new generation actors may not have seemed as strong initially, but with the right writing, proper focus, and consistent screen time, they could have improved. Instead, they were thrown into random scenes with uneven editing, which only made things worse.
It’s honestly disappointing how they introduced a new generation and then failed to properly build their stories. This could have easily turned into a strong new season that ran for a year or more, slowly expanding storylines and weaving characters together thoughtfully.
It just feels like such wasted potential.
And I genuinely feel bad for the newcomers who must have been excited to be part of such an iconic show, only to not really get their due. I’m sure most fans could come up with stronger continuation ideas than what we ended up seeing.
